This ideal becomes reality at Campingplatz Wetzlar in the German state of Hesse. This campsite is located on the Lahn River. That means you'll enjoy a camping holiday full of fun water recreation activities. You'll find the perfect combination of relaxation and recreation in the Lahn Valley. From a relaxing day at the river to cycling and canoeing trips. And you can be in the old centre of Wetzlar (3 km) within just 10 minutes.

From tent to bungalow

You'll be camping on an expansive lawn and can choose from pitches in the sun or in the shade. The pitches vary from 50 to 80 m². Campingplatz Wetzlar has a number of rental accommodations to choose from if you don't have your own camping equipment. These include caravans, bungalows and a tipi tent.

Enjoy floating on the water

The campsite's location on the Lahn River is ideal. You can get from your camping pitch to the water in no time. Your children will enjoy playing in the water or on the beach. The river is also ideal for a kayaking, canoeing or supping trips. Kayaks and canoes are available for rent at the front desk.

Not a water rat? Then you can enjoy hiking and cycling in the area. A cycle path runs directly past the campsite to Wetzlar. Do you enjoy fishing? You can also do this near the campsite. You can buy a fishing license for a day at the reception.

Travelling party: Couple

Hebben hier 2 nachten gestaan. Leuke ontvangst. Mochten zelf plek kiezen. Sanitair super. Broodjes service prima. Fietsen langs Lahn is ok, maar niet spectaculair . Koopcentrum Forum binnen 5 minuten fietsen. Veel winkels. Oude stad 20 min fietsen. Enige minpuntje: Wel wat verkeers lawaai, maar niet heel erg. Al met al een leuke stop voor een dag of 2.

Travelling party: Seniors

Creatief ontworpen kleinschalige camping. Helaas oogde de camping met Pinksteren echt overvol door de grootte van de huidige caravans en campers. Licht gehorige weg langs camping. Loopafstand van leuk stadje Wetzlar. Smakelijk Grieks restaurant. Let op: ook wij gingen de fout in door een grote staplaats via ACSI te boeken, klein, midden en groot zijn alleen voor tenten. Pitch voor andere voertuigen. Prima door beheerder opgelost. Check vooraf of er plaats is!

Travelling party: Couple

Zeer prettige en vriendelijke ontvangst. Voor mij een familie met jonge kinderen die uiterst leuk benaderd werden. Gratis WiFi. Leuke fietsroute langs de rivier. Tevens prachtige historische stadje met vele mooie winkels en terrassen. Allemaal makkelijk te bereiken. Ruime plaatsen. Zeer schoon sanitair. Wat ons verbaasde was de persoonlijke aandacht van de beheerder. We kwamen erachter dat alle negatieve berichten van voor de tijd dat deze beheerder eigenaar werd. Dus weg met alle negativiteit!
