Camping by Fulda river
The pitches are grassy and vary in size from 70 m2 to 200 m2. They are clearly demarcated and are partially separated by low hedges. There are also a fair number of trees on and around the campsite, giving the feeling that you are camping in the countryside – whereas you are just a stone’s throw from the city! The Fulda river flows past the campsite and a some of the pitches overlook the water.
Inclusive campsite
Next to reception, there is a small shop where you can get snacks and drinks. The toilet and washing facilities are spacious and fully accessible for people with a physical restriction and wheelchairs users. The same building also contains the washing machines and the communal kitchen. Inclusivity is an important value for the campsite owners. This applies not only to guests but also to staff, which is why many of the staff at Campingplatz Kassel have some sort of impairment.

Kassel is known for its rich history and the nature surrounding it. The most famous attraction is the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, only 15 minutes away from the campsite by car. It is here that the iconic Hercules statue stands, gazing over the city.
