Campingplatz Kassel is located in the German city of Kassel. You camp at the edge of the Karlsaue city park and are within walking distance of the centre. Kassel is charming with many historic buildings. The city is surrounded by the beauty of nature. Campingplatz Kassel is an ideal home base for a city trip in combination with excursions into the green surroundings.

Camping by Fulda river

The pitches are grassy and vary in size from 70 m2 to 200 m2. They are clearly demarcated and are partially separated by low hedges. There are also a fair number of trees on and around the campsite, giving the feeling that you are camping in the countryside – whereas you are just a stone’s throw from the city! The Fulda river flows past the campsite and a some of the pitches overlook the water.

Inclusive campsite

Next to reception, there is a small shop where you can get snacks and drinks. The toilet and washing facilities are spacious and fully accessible for people with a physical restriction and wheelchairs users. The same building also contains the washing machines and the communal kitchen. Inclusivity is an important value for the campsite owners. This applies not only to guests but also to staff, which is why many of the staff at Campingplatz Kassel have some sort of impairment.

Kassel is known for its rich history and the nature surrounding it. The most famous attraction is the Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, listed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List, only 15 minutes away from the campsite by car. It is here that the iconic Hercules statue stands, gazing over the city.

Travelling party: Couple

Goede doorgangscamping en stadscamping bij Kassel. Behoorlijk kleine plekken en eigenlijk te duur voor wat je geboden krijgt.
Geen extra's zoals zwembad of restaurant.
Wel rivier waar je niet in mag zwemmen maar wel suppen of varen.
vriendelijk personeel en verzorgde plekken.

Prachtige camping met mooi sanitair en mooie plekken, sanitair en receptie op 1 hoog. maar er is een lift beschikbaar voor mindervaliden. douchen niet gratis, maar je tijd gaat via een kaart, die je dan weer afrekend bij vertrek.

Goede camping. Het hoofdgebouw is van alles voorzien. Hele nette bestrating, egale percelen en lekker aan de rivier. Vanaf hier kan je lopen naar de tuinen van de Orangerie. De plekken om water te halen zijn wat mij betreft beetje ver weg van je plek.

Travelling party: Seniors

Stadcamping met stadspersoneel dat vrijwel uitsluitend Duits spreekt. Mooi aangelegd. maar een ramp voor minder mobiele mensen. Splinternieuw gebouw maar voor receptie, afwas, sanitair en wassen moet je telkens 18 trappen op (en af). Als het personeel vertrokken is om 18.00 u. alles met badges, dus badge vergeten = 36 trappen of hopen op een medekampeerder. Er is een soort buitenlift voor minder mobiele mensen. Jammer genoeg werkt dit vrijwel nooit of blijft halverwege hangen. Personeel doet zijn best om te helpen, ... als ze aanwezig zijn.. Weinig waterpunten. Prijs-kwaliteit veel te duur in het voorjaar. Camping ligt wel aan de rivier Fulda, maar daar kan je niet bij.. Aan de ingang staat een foodtruck als restaurant... Het gebouw is superbeveiligd maar aan de inkom staat enkel een bareel, waar je zo binnen en buitenloopt. Kortom een prestige camping waar niet echt aan de kampeerder is gedacht maar vooral zonder ziel en sfeer.
Prachtige parken in de buurt om te wandelen of te fietsen evenals het mooie fietspad langs de Fulda, dikwijls voor de iets beter geoefende of e-bike fietser. ..

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Mooie plaats, kregen wel een plaats toegewezen met een boom pal in het midden, niet zo ver van centrum Kassel, is een eind te voet, maar door een mooi park en mogelijk om e-step te huren. Pas op met voedsel want er lopen snachts wasberen rond en die hebben geen probleem om rits van een tent open te krijgen

Volgend jaar nieuw sanitair gebouw met receptie, eet gelegenheid enz. Campimg is van gemeente Kassel. Leuk fietsen in de omgeving en in de stad . Grote en kleine plaatsen. Reserveer aangeraden
