The Kellerwald
The Kellerwald: a low mountain range in Hesse, Germany, just across the border from North Rhine-Westphalia. It's your forested camping destination this year. In the middle of the forests of the Kellerwald lies the village of Jesberg. On the edge of it, just outside the centre, you'll find the campsite. Winding roads take you to the entrance. In the white reception building, you will receive a friendly welcome.
Open character
Many of the pitches at the campsite belong to regulars. But there are also plenty of camping spots available for touring campers. Some sixty spacious pitches are situated on neatly mown lawns. The camping area has an open character. There are few tall trees or hedges to get in the way of your view. Looking for a spot of shade? Then it's best to camp at the edge of the site where it's forested.
Child-friendly campsite
Camping Kellerwald is very child friendly. So feel free to take your children here on holiday. The playground is a great deal of fun for the little ones. Here they can swing, slide and climb. But the nature all around is perhaps the finest playground. In the play forest, they can clamber in the trees to their heart's content. And the stream near the campsite is also an excellent place for an adventure.
