Camping Ulmbachtalsperre is a few kilometres outside of Greifenstein in the German Hessische Westerwald. Here, you camp in a hilly setting where you can go on lovely walks and cycle rides through the forest. The campsite is by the Ulmbachstausee reservoir. This lake offers plenty of options for water recreation. The campsite has a private sunbathing meadow, sandy beach and swimming jetty.

The campsite covers the full west bank of the lake. If you want to stay at the campsite as a touring camper, you will probably end up on one of the well-maintained camping fields by the water. It is also possible to stay in a charming tiny house.
Lots of water fun in the Ulmbachstausee
One of the reasons that this campsite is so popular is due to the wonderful grass meadow by the lake. This meadow opens out onto a sandy beach. It is the ideal spot to go safely into the water. There is also a swimming jetty and there are two pontoons. So, playing and swimming fun are guaranteed! Furthermore, you can go on the lake with your own boat or standup paddleboard.

Camping Ulmbachtalsperre is an ideal starting point for taking lovely walks and bike rides through the forested hills in the surrounding area. And there is plenty more to do in this part of Hessen. You can, for example, visit one of the zoos, museums, castles or charming villages in this region. Burg Greifenstein castle is about a 10-minute drive from the campsite and it is famous for its Baroque church and clock museum.
