Natural bathing lake
About 900 metres from the campsite you will find the natural swimming lake Naturena Badesee, which can be accessed free of charge by campsite guests. The lake has a diving rock, volleyball court, a large playground with water games and a children's pool for the youngest.
Those who prefer to take it easy can enjoy the sunny terrace of the campsite restaurant Waldschenke. Directly opposite the restaurant, children can have fun on the playground. There is also the Schlücht, a small stream that runs along the campsite, with several nice spots where you can get into the water.
In the region
The Black Forest, the largest forest area in Germany, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Federal Republic. The wooded surroundings are a paradise for walkers and nature lovers. The campsite lies directly on a walking route. Beyond this, the Rothauser Land offers some 300 km of signposted walking and cycling trails.
You will find a unique natural spectacle at a distance of some 18 km, namely the Wutachschlucht, a breathtaking canyon, which can justifiably be called 'the Grand Canyon of the Black Forest'. Yet another interesting outing is Sankt Blasien (distance of approx. 20 km), with its colossal cathedral.
