This German campsite is located in the bend of Neckar river, 35 kilometres from Mannheim. The basic campsite was taken over by new owners in 2023. Although there is still work in progress to improve the campsite, the toilet facilities have been renovated, there are new pitches and there is a new ‘Campsite butler’. The latter is a machine with which the toilet cassette of your motorhome or caravan is cleaned automatically. Very gratifying for a comfortable camping experience!

Plenty of peace and quiet and the sounds of nature
This campsite in Baden-Württemberg has about one hundred pitches. There are no accommodations. The road to the campsite is narrow. Take the arrival time (after 14:00) and departure time (before 12:00) into account so as to avoid oncoming traffic. Campingplatz unterm Dilsberg is in a lovely green setting with a view of at least four different castle ruins. There is also a bicycle path along the campsite, which makes it an ideal home base for wonderful bicycle rides. From your pitch you can enjoy plenty of peace and quiet as well as the sounds of nature.
The campsite’s toilet block has underfloor heating, which makes showering more pleasant on colder days. Or you can warm up in front of the fire in the sitting room.
Swimming in the river
The campsite is on the Neckar river, where you can go swimming, standup paddleboarding and canoeing. There is a private jetty and a boat ramp. If you are a boat enthusiast, you can admire the boats in the nearby lock (500 metres). Campingplatz unterm Dilsberg does not have a swimming pool, but there is a swimming pool half an hour away in Sinsheim.
