Campingplatz Schacherhorn is situated in a stunning location in the south of Germany: a stretch of forest along the Bodensee. You will be camping at the edge of a nature reserve, which is a breeding area for various species of birds. Fantastic biking and hikes in the area. The long, thin shape of the campsite means that you'll almost always be on the water.

Camping by the water
At Campingplatz Schachenhorn, you'll be camping among the trees and you'll always be near the water. The pitches don't have defined borders, which creates a disorganised, casual feel on the camping property. It can be fairly busy here, especially during high season. The busier it gets, the smaller the pitches become. If you are able to look past that, you will be rewarded with a stunning, panoramic view of the lake and the surrounding greenery. You can also opt to stay in one of the cosy pod cabins.
Thai cuisine
The restaurant on the campsite serves marvellous Thai dishes, but you can also drop by for some chips. There is a lively Thai buffet on every Friday during high season.
Getting active on the Bodensee
The location of the campsite is unique: right on the Bodensee and in the midst of a beautiful nature reserve. It's the perfect location to fully unwind. Please note: swimming in the water near the campsite is prohibited. This part of the reserve is a protected breeding area for birds. There are fantastic hiking and cycling options in the immediate vicinity. You can also head out onto the water by boat, canoe or pedalboard.
