In the small town of Le Petit-Appeville, in the north of Normandy (Seine-Maritime department), lies a green oasis of peace and quiet: Campsite La Source The spacious camping pitches here are suitable for any kind of camping equipment. There are also some mobile homes and a special tent, the Coco Sweet. Campsite La Source is located less than 500 km from Utrecht.

Rustic camping

The 120 pitches, including 70 touring pitches, vary in size. Even the smaller pitches are sufficiently spacious. The site is well maintained and pitches are demarcated with hedges. In addition to the camping pitches for your tent, caravan or camper van, there are also some rental accommodation units. For instance, you can opt to stay in a comfortable mobile home or in the Coco Sweet. 

Sports and swimming

Guests on campsite La Source appreciate the peace and quiet. After all, you're in a forest with a babbling river adjacent to the campsite. Children can play to their hearts content in the playground, kick a ball around, play badminton, table tennis and volleyball. Do not expect any bells and whistles in terms of entertainment. Although in high season some activities are organised, such as a pétanque tournament or a couscous evening. 

There is also a heated swimming pool (100 m2) which is open from 15th May to 15th September. For more water fun you only need to walk down the campsite towards the Scie. This river is suitable for fishing, peddling or canoeing.

Bar and bread

In the evenings you can enjoy a drink in the bar (near the pool). There is also a small camping shop with fresh bread. Within a radius of a few kilometres around the campsite, there is an ample choice of restaurants.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Wij zijn hier toegekomen en hadden niet gereserveerd, na wat zoek werk kregen wij een mooie plaats aangeboden. We verbleven hier 4dagen en het was TOP zeer mooie verzorgde kleinere familiaire camping, propere sanitair en heel vriendelijke eigenaars. Wij gaan jaarlijks 3x gaan Camperen maar deze camping zit in onze top 5. Dikke proficiat aan de eigenaars !!!!

Mooie, schone en rustige camping, ruime plekken. Schoon en voldoende sanitair, jammer genoeg geen toiletpapier aanwezig. Vriendelijke eigenaren. Aanrader!

In tegenstelling tot wat er bij de voorzieningen staat, was er géén mogelijkheid er iets te eten of broodservice in de ochtend, helaas. We waren hier twee nachten in de eerste week van september.
Het sanitair was brandschoon, net als de douche. We hadden een plekje aan het stromende beekje, waar we heerlijk aan hebben gezeten. Wat al eerder in de reviews te lezen valt, is de route naar Dieppe en ook in het stadje zelf een hele klim, terwijl we de e-bikes mee hadden. Al met al een leuke tijd gehad.
