Just inside Savoie, bordering the Haute Savoie and close to St. Pierre-d’Albigny, you will find the picturesque Camping Lac de Carouge. The campsite is situated on the lake with the same name. The Haute-Savoie is a very mountainous region which includes the Mont Blanc massif on the Italian/French border. The campsite therefore forms an excellent base for excursions in this challenging region.

Nature, Confort or Privilège

On the grounds you can choose between pitches of 90-140 m2 in the categories ‘Nature’, ‘Confort’ (= ‘Nature’ + electricity) or ‘Privilège’ (= ‘Confort’ + water). This makes the campsite ideal for an extended stay. It is advisable to book your preference in advance (online) to secure your pitch. In peak season the choice will be limited when you arrive unexpectedly. The campsite also has chalets, safari tents and mobile homes for rental, all with their own shower/toilet.

For the children

Camping Lac de Carouge is very suitable for families with (young) children, with lots of activities organised by the enthusiastic camping employees. Each day (excluding Saturdays) there is a Kids Club and sports and games activities are organised for the slightly older children. In addition, camping guests have free access to the nearby municipal swimming pool (800 m). Naturally, you can also swim (supervised in summer), go pedal boating or fishing in the lake.

Activities

Each week special mountain excursions are organised (at a fee) under the supervision of qualified guides. For instance, mountain excursions on a via ferrata (secured climbing trip) or canyoning along wildly churning brooks and rivers.

Travelling party: Couple

Op deze middelgrote camping komen we telkens weer tot rust. Overdag zitten we meestal heerlijk onder de bomen of in de zon aan het meer te lezen en af en toe zwemmen we wat. Op de camping hebben we een voldoende afgeschermde, ruime plek voor de caravan, fijne, gezellige campingeigenaren en een mooie omgeving met ook leuke steden, grotten en caves. Geregeld gingen we naar een van de vele restaurants in de omgeving voor de heerlijke lokale gerechten. De fietspaden bij de camping zijn fantastisch, dus die hebben we ook weer regelmatig gebruikt.
Dit is voor ons de ultieme camping!

Travelling party: Family with children, various ages

Heerlijke camping aan het meer. We waren met de hond. Officieel mag de hond niet bij het meer, maar de politie deed niet moeilijk als je hem vast had en alles netjes opruimt. Camping heeft een simpele kaart, prima koffie en ijsjes te halen. Supermarkt zeer dichtbij. BBQ met vuur mag.
Sanitair is schoon en warme douches.
