Camping des Lacs is situated in Saint-Jean-de-Chevelu (Rhône-Alpes), a village in the green east of France. Tourism here is mainly about fun in the water. You will be camping at the two lakes of Saint-Jean-de-Chevelu, and the river Méline will be flowing past. There are also several lakes close to your camping pitch, including the gigantic Lac du Bourget (3 km), Lac d'Aiguebelette (20 km) or the very popular Lac d'Annecy (50 km). You won't be bored on dry land either. In the high season, the campsite has a great entertainment and excursion programme.

Spacious campsite
The grounds of Camping des Lacs are large and mainly consist of grassland with many trees. With nearly a hundred pitches for campers, you're in an average-size campsite here. But what is definitely not average is the size of the pitches. At 100-150 m2, they are definitely spacious! Trees and hedges near your pitch provide the necessary shade and privacy. From your pitch, you can look out over the green hills that surround the campsite. Are you coming without your own camping equipment? Then you can stay in one of the mobile homes, lodge tents or hiker's huts. They come in several comfort levels.
Fun in the water
The fact that there is no swimming pool on the campsite proper isn't a problem at all. You just jump into the adjacent swimming lake. The bank consists of sand and grass. Children can also play in the shallow Méline river. If you get hungry, you can get something at the snack bar. A supermarket can be found in Yenne, a town about six kilometres away.
