Camping amid greenery
As you drive further on to the campsite, you look out at the enormous wooded mountains in the distance. You will also instantly notice how attractive the grassy fields are. All numbered pitches are spacious and nicely appointed without demarcation. Tall trees are spread over the fields, providing adequate shade.
The clean toilet blocks are seen as an important plus point by many campers. The glamping tents, hired by the campsite, blend in well with the natural surroundings.
Active in the mountains
In the summer, the baker comes to the campsite in the mornings with fresh bread. Once you have had breakfast in the outdoor air, it's time to explore the area. Beaufort is a lovely nearby village at 750 metres altitude and known for Beaufort cheese. You are in for a treat!
The region mainly consists of mountain lakes, meadows, forests, steep hills and challenging descents. That makes it a great starting point for challenging mountain hikes or easier walks. There are also over 20 mountain bike routes, ranging from 3 to 27 kilometres.
