The charming family campsite Camping d'Arpheuilles is located in a lovely natural area on an inlet of the Loire river in Rhône-Alpes. This is a special location right at the spot where the Loire flows into Lake Villerest. You can boat on the river and swim in the recreation lake. On the banks there is a sandy beach where you can sun yourself and play during the day, and site by a campfire in the evening.

On the lake

The location on the lake at Villerest, an inlet of the Loire river, gives the campsite that something extra. Not only due to the natural experience and the lovely view, but also due to the natural beach and options for fishing, swimming, canoeing or sailing your old boat. About an hour away by boat there is a centuries old castle on the rocks in the lake that you can visit.

Camping with a view

The spacious campsites on grass are partially on terraces and vary in shape and size and are sometimes separated by hedges. Electricity and water are never far away. Some sites are on the lake or on the banks of the river. It is a typical French campsite with a charming atmosphere, sometimes with music in a restaurant that has a covered terrace (roof made of grape leaves).

Campers without their own equipment can get to know glamping in charming lodge tents on the banks of the lake with a beautiful view. The tents do not have their own sanitary facilities, but the chalets and mobile homes do. There are also adapted accommodations for the disabled.

  • From St. Paul-de-Vézelin follow the D8 direction Dancé. Campsite located a few km outside village. Campsite signposted. Last three km are narrow but site can be reached without problems.
