Are you looking for a simple, peaceful campsite in an area near the mighty Loire river? The campsite De la Belle Etoile, located on the outskirts of Saint-Bonnet-le-Château may be just what you are looking for. This campsite boasts a view of the church, which stands high atop the centre of the city. Although the swimming pool attracts young families in summer, this campsite is primarily a favourite among people looking for some peace and quiet.

Simple yet effective

This well-arranged campsite has demarcated pitches which vary in size. Some are located in the shade, others in partial shade and others in the sun. Not all paths are paved. The green of the hedges, trees and shrubs allow the natural wilderness to peek in from all sides.

Heated swimming pool

The campsite boasts a heated swimming pool (60 m2) and a toddler pool. These pools are surrounded by a terrace with some loungers and umbrellas. There is a modest activity programme during the summer and you can also play a game of petanque or go fishing.

In high season you will find many families on the campsite. In low season, your fellow campers are primarily people seeking peace and quiet.

Bites and drinks

You don't always have to cook for yourself, as the campsite has a snack bar that is open from June to August. However, the village boasts many delightful food stands and restaurants that serve well-known French cuisine. You can also buy fresh bread on the campsite every day.
