Camping Le Champ du Moulin is located i.In the high mountains of the French Alps, in the north of the Parc National des Écrins. From the spacious campsite, popular with mountain lovers, you have a panoramic view of the surrounding Alps. These mighty mountains offer campers many sporting challenges.

Camping with panoramic view

The campsite is divided into several well-kept lawns, which can be reached via straight paths. On these lawns there are spacious touring pitches, which all have a beautiful panoramic view of the Alps. Some of the fifty touring pitches are shaded by large trees, others are in the sun. Because there are no hedges for demarcation, you lack a bit of privacy. You can also spend the night in classic mobile homes and chalets or in an apartment in the large mountain hut.

Outdoor pool with water slide

Outside the campsite there is a large outdoor swimming pool, open during the summer months. This competition pool is certainly popular with campers that like to swim a few laps The large and winding water slide offers the perfect adventure for children. Even when the summer is a bit colder you can take a dip in this heated pool.

Organic dishes

The facilities on the campsite are simple, but complete. There are plenty of sanitary facilities, which are cleaned regularly. And in the main building, the mountain hut that is so typical of this area, you'll find a small supermarket. The food sold here is mainly organic. At the restaurant, which is also located in the main building, the dishes that are served are prepared with mainly organic ingredients.

Liked - The location was perfect. Stunning views, good walks straight from site, close to Venosc so easy access to Les Deux Alpes and Glaciers. Site not too big, hosts friendly and restaurant good for typical Alpine food.
Disliked - Site looked tired and a bit worn out. Toilet block was cleaned regularly but just out-dated. Staff always very busy but friendly.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Liked - returning to camping le moulin is a bit like coming home. The owners are very welcoming and have created a very nice athmosphere at the campsite:
- eco friendly
- good bread service
- excellent meals for a decent price (and not the just chips or a burger)
- everything is well kept, though perhaps not new
- problems, if there are any, are solved quickly
- owners are 'álways' available

Ik hope that the new managers of the campsite will maintain the created positive, eco friendly atmosphere aimed at sporty camping guests. I will miss Jean-Philippe and Stephanie.

Liked - Nice green camping. Very friendly staff. Very quiet in the evening and morning. Beautiful area with lots of hiking and biking opportunities nearby.
Disliked - The sanitary facilities were busy at peak hours.
