Camping De Martinière is located in the Isère, in the heart of the Chartreuse Massif. The campsite offers an exceptional view of the surrounding Alpine peaks. The spacious pitches are laid out on meadows of an old Carthusian farm. The comfortable wash room has given the century-old farm a new lease of life. The wood and utensils of olden days make for a lovely ambiance in 'l'Atelier' (a bar/restaurant). Children will thoroughly enjoy themselves with the heated swimming pool, the play equipment and activities.

Experiencing nature

The small-scale family campsite De Martinière has been established with respect for nature and is lovingly managed. The grounds are in a magnificent setting with the old, renovated monastery farm building. Over the years the owners have worked the fields and improved them with indigenous trees, shrubs, hedges and plants. The spacious and shady pitches are located on both sides of the farm, some with ample privacy.

Mountain huts

The rental accommodation is very special, mobile homes in harmony with nature and environment. There are also basic tents on wooden stilts with a terrace. They have a real bed, two chairs, a dining area and electricity. The lodge huts are also very tasteful, beautifully executed in wood with a large covered terrace. The three wooden chalets are inspired by the mountain huts of the shepherds and have been constructed with environment-friendly material. The furniture was especially designed for the chalets.

Games and mountain sports

Children will enjoy themselves in the heated swimming pool with toddler's pool and the small playground. Also fun: the trampoline, bouncing cushions and jeu-de-boule pitch. In high season there are organised activities (biathlon, treasure hunts, story evenings and cheese and wine tastings).

Mooie parkachtig aangelegde camping met uitzicht op de bergen in een prachtige omgeving. Deze camping heeft alles wat je nodig hebt voor een sportieve wandel-fiets vakantie.

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Omdat de Tour de France hier langs zou komen, hebben we deze camping geboekt. Voor het eerst richting de bergen. De camping was prima, we hadden plaats nummer 76 geboekt, de grootste en zonnigste plek van de camping! De eigenaren waren erg aardig en wisten puntjes van kritiek (bijvoorbeeld dat we niet in het gras van de buurman mochten komen) op humoristische wijze te brengen.
De camping was rustig en erg netjes. Aan onze kant van de camping (nieuwe gedeelte) stond een uiterst schattig houten toiletgebouwtje, wat erg fijn was. Douchen en afwassen deden we in het deels gerenoveerde sanitairblok. Zwembad was prima en eigenlijk nooit te vol, ook niet in de corona periode. Er was altijd wel een bedje beschikbaar.
Vanaf de camping hebben we heerlijke wandelingen gemaakt, geocaches gezocht en een paar keer Grenoble bezocht. De omgeving is werkelijk prachtig.
Groot nadeel vonden wij de koele avonden en het wisselvallige weer, wij zitten graag tot \'s avonds laat buiten en dat was hier niet mogelijk. Verder krioelde het van de oorkruipers en wespen.

  • Driving with a caravan we advise the route via St. Laurent-du-Pont, direction St. Pierre-de-Chartreuse. 1 km before St. Pierre in the town of Diat turn right direction Col de Porte. From there, it's only 2 km to the campsite.
