Les Chapelains campsite is located in the lush countryside of southern France. Here you can camp on the banks of the river Drôme. Pitch your tent in the woods and enjoy the peace and quiet and the mountains. The campsite is one big playground for the children. They can play in the play corner, but especially the river is their favourite spot. In the quiet water they can swim, paddle in the shallows and canoe.

Camping in the countryside

Are you coming to the South of France with a caravan? Then you can choose a nice delimited pitch between the trees. With a view of the surrounding mountains. Tent campers will pitch their tent in the woods, close to the river. That is camping as camping is meant to be. Tie your hammock between two trees, put out your folding chair ... and let the enjoyment begin.

Water fun in the Drôme

From the campsite you can step straight onto the pebble beach at the Drôme. Perhaps not the best place for sunbathing all day, but certainly the best place for a refreshing dive. The calm water is perfect for swimming. The shallow water is perfect for bathing with small children. An outing with the whole family? Take a trip in a canoe.

A different restaurant every evening

Away from the hustle and bustle usually means away from the facilities. At campsite Les Chapelains this is not too bad. For a quick snack you can go to the bar. For your shopping you only have to go to Crest. Not only is there a larger supermarket, but you can also visit a different restaurant every evening.

Liked - Low key, relaxed environment with possibbilty to activities nearby. Friendly staff.
Disliked - Put screens on all sides of toilet/shower block, help to screen off for pitches nearby and maybe it will stop kids running around using it as playground. Grey water facilities are needed.

Liked - We had a nice calm stay close to the river. We enjoyed the terrasse with the children.
