The small-scale, attractive campsite Les Châtaigniers is situated in a quiet spot in the touristy south of the Ardèche, not far from the hot spots in the region: Vallon Pont d’Arc and the Gorges de l’Ardèche. It is surrounded by vineyards and the village of Laurac-en-Vivarais is within walking distance. The lively, picturesque village of Joyeuse is also located in the vicinity.

Chestnut trees
The first thing you will notice on the campsite is the beautiful large chestnut trees, providing ample shade and a natural demarcation on the older section. The lower section of the campsite is demarcated by hedges. The pitches measure between 80 and 120 m2. The surface is very firm. Want to hire something? A few neat mobile homes, some with covered terraces, are apart from the tourist pitches.
Elegant swimming pool
There is an elegantly shaped swimming pool with separate toddler pool and numerous sun loungers scattered here and there in shady spots. The water is extremely clean. If you are looking for open water, you can swim in the river in a lovely spot with a sandy beach near the medieval artist village of Labeaume (approx. 11 km).
Jeu-de-boule
There is a small playground, a large jeu-de-boule pitch and a table tennis table. There is no entertainment offered so that it is nice and peaceful. There is no restaurant or shop. However, you can buy a cool drink or an ice cream at the reception. The pizza baker passes by twice a week with delicious pizzas. A bread service is also available.
Sanitary facilities
The open sanitary facilities are neat and are cleaned twice a day. There are special facilities for babies and disabled guests.
