In the middle of the natural environment of the Ardèche lies the Camping L'Ombrage campsite. Located on a hilly terrain, it serves as a perfect starting point for exploring the surrounding area. You will be staying here near the town of Ruoms, and from the campsite, you can see the rock of Sampzon in the distance. In 2021, the pool was completely renovated to include a large sun terrace with comfortable loungers and a toddler pool. Both pools are heated.

XXL camping

This tranquillity originates in part from the very generous camping pitches. Each spot is at least 150 m2 in size! The natural delineation and very well-maintained camping grounds also create an attractive appearance. The low trees also provide sufficient shade and give you a real Provençal holiday feeling. In addition to an XXL camping spot, mobile homes are also available for rent.

Mini concert at the campsite

The Camping L'Ombrage campsite is geared towards lovers of nature. Therefore, the facilities are not on a large scale and are limited. So you can buy fresh bread at the campsite, but you will find the nearest supermarket four kilometres away. In high season, the campsite bar – with terrace – is open, and you can go there for drinks, ice cream, snacks and pizza. From time to time, communal dinners are arranged in the evenings, accompanied by a mini concert.

Playing in nature

Nature is also the biggest playground on the campsite. There is a small playground, but little can beat romping around in the grass and between the trees and bushes. To cool down afterwards, we have a swimming pool. This is located next to the terrace. Around the water, you will find a small sunbathing area.

Liked - Mooie camping in de natuur. Wij hebben niets negatiefs over de camping te melden. Zeer vriendelijke eigenaar en personeel.Zeer ruime
Disliked - Onze buren waren zeer luidruchtige Fransen die het uur van stilte negeerden. Ze gingen door met lawaai maken tot 2u.

Liked - We had a wonderful time at the campsite. The pool was great, pitch spacious and shaded, and facilities flawlessly clean and well maintained. We took part in a couple of the evening activities which were great and the burgers from the restaurant exceptional.

Leuke wekelijkse activiteiten (pony wandeling op de camping voor kinderen, laatavond zwemmen, thema avond met maaltijd en muziek, zwemglijbaan) Vriendelijke uitbaters, gaven duidelijke uitleg, maakten een praatje, gaven tips over wat er te doen is
Brood bestelling mogelijk tot 19u
Sanitair lijkt klein, maar uiteindelijk nooit problemen gehad om te douchen
Disliked - 4 toiletten is misschien wat weinig
Animatie naburige camping was enorm goed hoorbaar, wij zaten vooraan op de camping, duurde ook tot na 23u, daar heeft de camping echter geen vat op natuurlijk. Uiteindelijk zou dat ons niet tegenhouden om nog eens terug te keren.

Liked - The campsite is very spacious and atmospheric. The personnel is always friendly and they take good care of their guests. The restaurant serves a good quality of food and drinks at a reasonable price. The pool and the sanitary block are kept very clean. A few times a week there is entertainment like a clown, live music or a bouncy castle for the kids. Once a week you can enjoy a communal meal with other guests. The campsite is not located next to the Ardeche, but all must-sees are just a few minutes by car away. And if you don’t want to use the car, just go by bike or foot.
Disliked - That we only booked for two weeks ??
