Camping La Coronne is located amidst lavender fields in a rural setting, on the edge of lively Valréas. The campsite is an excellent base from where to explore the Vaucluse. The campsite is somewhat dated, but the beautiful area and the warm weather make up for this.

Warm French summers
Judging by Dutch standards, the campsite appears a bit dated, but is it well maintained. Camping La Coronne is a small-scale campsite with shady pitches. Great to enjoy a bit of shade in the hot French summers.
Water fun and cooling down
The swimming pool is adjacent to the reception. Ideal for hours of water fun. The sun likes to hang around in this part of France; therefore, some cooling down is very welcome. By the swimming pool you will find the restaurant with terrace, where you can relax and attend live concerts. You can order a fresh roll in the morning here.
To Valréas on foot
A visit to the supermarket in Valréas is also worth your while. A walk of some one and a half km will take you to the centre of this attractive town. A leisurely stroll through the town centre before you do your shopping is also highly recommended.
Avignon: the Provençal City of Popes
Avignon is an hour's drive from the campsite. This city was the seat of the papacy from 1309 to 1377. The French pope Clemens V was the first pope who, pressured by the French king, took up residency in Avignon. His residency led to the construction of the Palace of the Popes. This imposing gothic building, with the historic centre of Avignon, is an official World Heritage Site.
