Camping Les hautes Prairies is located in the Vaucluse, south of Luberon. You can go on some fun day trips in the area. This well-known touristic region is full of fun sightseeing opportunities, such as castles, vineyards, and charming villages.

Pleasant and tranquil atmosphere

The campsite grounds are well cared-for and rich in flowers. At the spacious reception, which also has tourist brochures available, you will receive a warm welcome from the young owners, Arthur and Anne-Lise. On your way to your pitch, you will experience the peace and tranquility that is characteristic of this campsite. The spacious camping pitches are separated by shrubs and trees and have sufficient shade. A few of the pitches offer a beautiful view of the valley. Slightly less alluring are the pitches situated next to the road.

There are two sanitary blocks which have recently been completely fitted with self-cleaning toilets. The campsite also offers accommodations for rent. There are mobile homes and chalets, but you can also book a hotel room.

Long water slide and loungers for relaxation

In the peak season, you will find an international mix of people on Camping Les Hautes Prairies. There are especially many hikers and backpackers. In the low season, you will share the camping grounds with campers looking for peace and quiet. There is a large and relatively deep swimming pool with a water slide and a view of the mountains.

Charming restaurant

The campsite features a restaurant with a terrace. The menu is simple and offers a selection of regional dishes. There are also pizzas and takeaways available. There is also a shop for the most basic supplies. For your daily shopping, you can visit the supermarket at the Centre commercial, approximately 3 kilometres outside the village.

Liked - The campsite is in a perfect location, walking distance to a beautiful village. The campsite has a great swimming pool, the facilities are good, the staff are very friendly and extremely accommodating to any requests. We booked for four nights and stayed seven. We would love to come back again.

Liked - Nice plots surrounded by hedges, nice pool area and a good restaurant.
Disliked - Looks like you're using a diesel generator to hear water. When the wind is just "right" the smell is bad from the exhaust pipe from the generator and it smells a lot. On top of that that's just bad for the environment and really shouldn't be allowed. With the price for a plot you should be able to afford some solar panels.
Paying 6€ for a pet is just too greedy. We brought our cat and paid 6€ for having her on a leash. That's just greedy.

Also the amount of traffic around the campsite should be limited. People with cars at their houses or tents should park outside instead.

Liked - This is a great place to visit many villages and the main centres of Avignon/Aix en Provence.
Great pool set up for adults and children.

Liked - Modern toilet and shower facilities which are kept very clean. Generous pitch size. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Quiet, peaceful campsite. Large swimming pool. Short walk into Lourmarin which is a lovely village full of French charm. One of the best French campsites that we have stayed at.
