Sunbathing next to the swimming pool with an all-round view of the green mountains? You can do this on campsite Municipal La Rochette. The campsite is situated at an altitude of 1000 m, in the heart of the French Alps, with favourably located arterial roads to the surrounding valleys. Your fellow campers are mostly sports-minded nature lovers: mountain climbing, rafting or hang gliding are high up on their wish list.

Orderly campsite

There is an convivial atmosphere on campsite La Rochette. There are almost two hundred touring pitches, located on a flat surface with plenty of grass and ample shaded spots. The reception building is basic, but functional. There are fourteen fine rental accommodation units, convenient in early spring when the nights can still be very chilly.

Swimming fun

The heated swimming pool in straightforward design (open from the end of June to the end of August) is located next to the campsite and is managed by the municipality. It measures some 200 m2 and is ideal for swimming lengths. It does not cater for playing children, although there is a toddler pool.

The tennis courts are located next to the swimming pool. Feel like doing something else? You can do white river rafting or canoeing in the area. The Guile river flows a bit further along and there is a recreational lake at less than 10 km from the campsite.

Eating and drinking

There is a small campsite shop (with daily fresh bread) but the shops and supermarket in Guillestre are within walking distance. The restaurant (including snack bar and pizzeria) has a small menu and is open during the same period as the swimming pool. You can enjoy the fresh air on an attractive terrace.

Via the N94 about 30 km south of Briançon take the D902A to Guillestre at the roundabout. Turn right after about 1 km, where 3 campsites are located. Follow the camping signs to almost the end of the road.
