In the Southern French region of Paca, close to La Garda, you will find the child-friendly yet peaceful terraced campsite RCN les Collines de Castellane. The campsite is recommended for families with children, especially because of the exciting swimming pool. The proud town of Castellane is approximately 10 kilometres further west, where you can walk through the medieval streets. Here, you will find fun shops and sidewalk cafés.

Hillside terraces
Standing on top of the hillside, you can see the entire campsite: spacious pitches with plenty of shade. There are many accommodations available for rent, such as lodge tents and beautifully designed bungalows. People do not come here often to camp with a tent outside of the peak season due to the cold nights. The guests are mostly families with young and teenaged children.
Exciting swimming pool
The (heated) swimming pool is the big attraction for younger campers. Here, you will find a broad 3-lane water slide and water features between the 'rocks'. It is not excessively large (250 m2), but it is well-maintained and beautifully decorated with plants. The bridge crossing the pool is a reference to the original bridge in Castellane.
Entertainment, food and drink
Many activities are organised (from the beginning of May until the end of August) in English, French and Dutch. There is the occasional disco evening as well. There is a jungle gym, complete with rope courses through the trees and a zip line which takes you to the other side of the campsite. Exciting!
The restaurant is basic, but it has a breakfast service as well as takeaway meals. You can dine here with views of the swimming pool, inside or on the patio.
