Amidst the rugged nature of Parc Naturel Régional du Verdon, a stone's throw away from the well-known Gorges du Verdon and the lively town of Castellane, lies Camping Terra Verdon - Ciela Village. This is a holiday paradise, where you can find tranquillity, beautiful nature and room to unwind completely. Lac du Castillon is located in the area.

Spacious pitches

The spacious and well-shaded pitches are located in streets along paved roads. The pitches are demarcated with hedges. The rental accommodation (mobile homes and bungalow tents), generally relatively new, can be found in a separate section.

Water park and more

The campsite has a wonderful water park with a leisure pool, an indoor pool, a paddling pool with water games for children, slides, a whirlpool and a solarium. Young and old can cool off here and have fun during their holidays. Next to the pool is a large children's area with colourful play equipment and sports fields. Children can have fun on the inflatable play equipment, while the older ones enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and a range of sports activities.

Kids club and evening entertainment

There is no need for children to get bored with a spacious playground, a bouncer, table tennis tables, monkey bars, a mini golf course and lots of entertainment. The entertainment team offers a wide range of activities: from kids club and soccer tournaments to pool parties and treasure hunts. The campsite also offers guided walking tours and evening entertainment. Please note: the entertainment is in French!

Provençal dishes

In the robust camping restaurant, furnished in Provençal style, you can eat excellent regional dishes. The service is fast and friendly. Prefer to eat elsewhere? Head for a restaurant in the nearby town of Castellane. If you prefer to cook yourself, you can do your shopping in a small supermarket with mostly local products and daily fresh bread.

Liked - Site was clean, well-organised, friendly staff, lovely warm sanitary facilities, large, pitches
Disliked - Some sanitary facilities were closed as low season, so a long walk to facilities and washing up

Liked - Lots to do in the area, helpful staff, great activities on site too, for kids and grown ups. Beautiful indoor and outdoor pool. Very comfy beds and Cheers
Disliked - all you need in the kitchen, though a toaster or on-site barbecue spots would be a great thing to add.

Liked - I liked the entertainment, the swimming area was spacious and fun, I loved the slides. The view of Castellane from the pool is amazing. I like the activities and entertainment. The play area is also very good.

Liked - Stayed for two weeks in August in this campsite, beautiful location and lovely local village Castellane, with market on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Very friendly and helpful staff, immaculate accommodation, well maintained general areas, lovely pools. Doesn't seem to get a lot of visitors from Ireland but we loved it.
Disliked - Maybe a little scoop of the pool every so often to remove flies, etc. but a very clean pool overall.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Stayed on b72. No visible hook up. Phone reception eariler in the day & asked what time they close for the day, 8pm. Arrived to site at 19:50, reception staff didn't speak much english. They said our info pack was already with the night staff. Staff very moody, unhelpful and sharp in the restaurant. Asked if the football was going to be switched on and said “NOT MY JOB” and asked another person “don’t know” service means actually helping a customer! Bar people were nice though! No sound on footie. No water for showers or sinks in the morning! No toilet paper. I wouldn’t call it 5 star camping
Disliked - Check all toilets for toilet paper. Went on arrive day and still had none the following day. Used shower block at end of row.

Liked - Great facilitieson site. The kids loved the swimming area. easy check in / check out. The app was a great addition to help with the stay . Close to beautiful Lake Castillon. Delicious food on site . And the staff were lovely & helpful. Highly recommend .

Liked - Lovely campsite in a lovely location. Super clean and well run. The pool and toilets/showers are spotless, all the staff were super friendly, helpful and kind. Hopefully we will stay here again. Recommended

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - The camping team, especially the animator, was incredibly friendly. We enjoyed a calm stay in early season, discovering the beautiful area, going canyoning with help of the reception and relaxing in the pool and at the mobil-home.
Disliked - The mobil-home was a bit cold in the night because of the season, but we had plenty of blankets and quick heating which solved the problem.
