Liked - Very relaxing and quiet site at this time of year, September. Nice clean facilities. Really like the area.
Disliked - Didn’t think it worth paying extra for waterside pitches.

Liked - Tranquility, simplicity, environment. We had hoped to arrive at the campsite early afternoon but an earlier delay caused us to arrive early evening. We couldn’t make use of the river or take a bike ride as we had hoped. Reception were friendly and helpful. Would have been nice to stop longer. A good site for family time (poor mobile data signal). Games room at le lidon in better condition than the 4 star coastal site we had been to.
Disliked - We weren’t sure where to go or what to do once we had arrived. Went to the restaurant (closest to the gate), we were advised to drive through the gate and go to reception. Gate didn’t open so reversed caravan out, a car went through, gate opened, tried again, gate didn’t open. Someone from reception came out and advised we parked in the car park and walked to reception to check in. We did and after could drive in. Access very tight for a 7.5m caravan a longer twin axle caravan could be a problem.

Liked - The staff were incredible - so helpful and friendly and always keeping everything clean etc
Disliked - I would have liked the restaurant to have had a little more choice and be open more hours (it may not have been as we were there end of season)

Liked - Quite, although fairly busy. We came here a few years ago and it was very quite and we loved that about the site. Even though much busier we enjoyed our week and would certainly return again.

Liked - Area is fantastic for cycling on level tracks/roads & pAthways. We loved our 3 day stay.
Disliked - Not the easiest area to navigate. A good map would help but wasn’t really available. Sat Nav not much help
for cycling.

Liked - Le camping est plus comme un parc arboré, on s’y sent vraiment bien. Nous étions là debut juin et c’était très calme.
Les parties communes étaient propres et avec une bonne intimité.
Le personnel était accueillant et les propriétaires clairement passionnés par leur métier et le marais poitevin.
On a passé un super séjour. Je recommande 100% le camping du Lidon pour découvrir la partie sauvage du marais!
