Along the babbling brook, the Boutonne, between fields in an agricultural area with forests, lies the small family campsite Le Moulin. This is a place to camp in an oasis of peace on a well-organised campsite. The spacious camping pitches, loosely demarcated, are separated from the rental accommodations. In high season, fresh bread is delivered to the campsite upon request.

Eating in a restored farmhouse
The campsite owners take pleasure in organising theme evenings for the guests. On Fridays, it is time for the quiz and while pondering over the answers, you have a choice between mussels and chicken. You definitely have to make early dinner reservations for the jazz band performances; such evenings are very popular.
The small, heated pool (50 m2) with terrace is located adjacent to restaurant des Canards. In the 350-year-old restored farmhouse, traditional French and international dishes are served. This includes fish and chips, Chinese dishes and all kinds of curries. Ice cream, snacks and takeaway meals are also available.
Excursions
There is some playground equipment for children and a table tennis table. From the campsite you can follow easy walking and cycling routes. The camping owners organise excursions for the guests (canoe or kayak trips and a visit to local wineries and distilleries in Cognac).
Javarzay Castle
Within walking distance lies Chef-Boutonne where you can visit the beautiful castle. This Renaissance castle dates back to 1514 and has been renovated several times over the years. There is a fish pond in the castle park. You can also take walks along the Boutonne river. Here you will also find a nice playground.
