Camping des Lacs lives up to its name. The campsite 'of the lakes' is all about the adjoining lake of Lavaud and the beach of La Guerlie. The campsite is situated in green surroundings in the Charente-Limousin region. You reach this oasis of peace by driving from the A20 in the direction of Limoges. Then take the N141 towards Angoulême, exit at Chabanais and head towards Pressignac. The campsite signs will direct you.

Spacious pitches and a Coco Sweet

Here you live the good life! There are more than 100 spacious camping pitches (130 m2 on average). The surrounding hedges offer you enough privacy. The pitches are easily accessible, so positioning your caravan or camper van is no problem at all. The campsite also offers mobile homes, a chalet and a Coco Sweet (a combination between a tent and a mobile home).

Water fun

Camping des Lacs has three swimming pools: an outdoor pool, a toddlers' pool and a heated indoor pool. More water fun can be had on the sandy beach at La Guerlie. Follow the forest path through the car park to get to the accompanying reservoir. In the lake of Lavaud you can swim, fish (permit available at the reception) and do water sports. In July and August there is an inflatable obstacle course in the water.

Communal baking and roasting

In the evening you can have a barbecue with all your new camping friends, because there are five shared barbecues on the campsite. If you don't feel like baking and roasting yourself, you can go to the snack bar. It is located on the beach and has a view of the lake.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Late September so very quiet, lovely lake for swimming and sports. Excellent area for cycling and walking with nice towns nearby. Washing machines were turned off but was allowed to use the one at reception. Nothing too difficult for the staff. The pool was open but spent most of the time on paddleboards on the lake. Watersports facility over the bridge for kayaks and pedlo type craft. Most pitches are level and private with a few chalets/large caravans. Would definitely revisit earlier in the season if not the same time period.
Disliked - Mosquitoes but we had a great view over the lake and thats nature for you.
A more user friendly motorhome service point for black and grey waste. I had to drain the grey tank into a container to get it to the drain.
