In the Poitou-Charentes region, between La Rochelle and Bordeaux, is the Flower Camping Le Nauzan-Plage campsite. The campsite is located near the centre of the village of Vaux-sur-Mer, a ten-minute walk from the beach. This cosy campsite is a fun destination in the summer for families of all ages. With two pools and the Atlantic Ocean around the corner, there is plenty of opportunity for fun in the water. In the area, there is a great deal to see, experience and taste.

Liked - Size of pitches. Bar & restaurant. Pool. Friendly staff. Close to beach.
Disliked - Water taps hidden very few of them and you had to walk through other peoples pitch to get to them. Also flooring around pool. VERY uncomfortable to walk on bare foot.

Liked - Spacious pitch. Good welcome. Toilet and showers clean.
Reported tap at toilet emptying was not working. Told at reception had been turned off because of careless usage. Was told to rinse out cassette at another tap which is unhygienic. Afterwards saw people rinsing cassettes at washing up.
Felt I was treated in an off hand way when reporting issue.
Disliked - See above.

We booked in to the campsite from 3-5 April. The campsite had been closed for the winter, so no excuse for the noise surrounding us this week. I am disabled. The step was too high to entire the latrines safely ... especially at night; evidenced by the installation of a new mid-step in wood. The carpenter was using power tools to construct the step, he had not finished when we left. The inside pool was not open for our stay, despite being advertised as open. The outside pool was green and used by a duck (but advertised as closed). The work on the interior pool was very noisy with power equipment being used. The food venue was open on our second, the pizza filled a hole and was adequate. It was obvious that the campsite\'s focus was to have everything ready for the Easter Break; their focus, over the winter, should have been to have everything ready for the opening week. This is the first negative review I have given for a campsite used in 5 years. Very disappointing and not worth the money. Normally we stay just up the road at St Palais but they were not open this week, perhaps this campsite should have remained closed and sorted their remedial safety work before opening.

Welcomeing staff and very convenient for local beach. Good cycle tracks to surrounding beaches and villages. Good restaurant on site and plenty of other options nearby.

Liked - The stay was brilliant... the office staff made a difference as they were so helpfull and friendly. Even the boss was very friendly and helpfull and we enjoyed their company on many a occasion. If they worked for me i could not be pleased with their attitude - from the Boss, to the office staff and as far as the cleaning staff... xxx
Disliked - nothing....
