In the middle of a forest on the island of Île de Ré is the family campsite Huttopia Chardons Bleus - Île de Ré. This tourist island in the Charente-Maritime has a long coastline with many sandy beaches. The campsite is located in a wooded area about two kilometres from the beach and the Atlantic Ocean. So you will stay in an ideal place to take a dip in the sea every day.

Camping in the forest

The campsite is situated in a large pine forest, where tall trees provide plenty of shade. Almost all of the 175 touring pitches are in shady spots in the forest. The ground is sandy; pay attention when you come with a caravan or motorhome. In spite of the sandy soil, the pitches are well maintained: scattered over the campsite, with lots of privacy and space.

Family campsite on the Ile de Ré

Young families from all over Europe are attracted to this campsite on the Ile de Ré. Especially in high season, Huttopia Chardons Bleus is a real family campsite. There is a lot to do for the younger guests. During the summer months, they are kept busy by the entertainment team. They organise activities with a specific theme every week.

Heated swimming pool

Centrally located on the campsite, near the restaurant and reception, you’ll find the large heated swimming pool. Although the swimming pool is in an open area, there are plenty of trees nearby that can provide shade. Next to the large swimming pool there are two round pools: one for toddlers, one for the slightly larger bathers. Next to the pool, between the trees, you will find a pavement café and a little bar.

Een fijne camping in de natuur, speels opgezet en genoeg ruimte voor je caravan en ligging goed om Ile de Re te verkennen.

Wij waren er begin oktober. verwarmd zwembad ging net dicht. sanitair prima van Huttopia niveau. receptie vriendelijk en behulpzaam. ondanks laat in seizoen toch druk vanwege mooie weer. prima plaatsen wel deels onder bomen. houtduif liet regelmatig wat vallen. schoonhouden nodig. prima eiland om te fietsen.

In het voorjaar was het super rustig, de camping is duidelijk ingericht voor juli en augustus, wij hadden een prima verblijf, uiterst vriendelijk personeel, keuken was nog gesloten

Travelling party: Family with children <4 years

Rustige camping in een prachtige natuurlijke setting. Sanitair was altijd netjes. Alleen een beetje vervelend dat het een open gebouw is waar het los door waait, dat kan soms koud zijn. Douchen is zonder muntjes of timers. Het terrein is veel kleiner dan het plan doet uitschijnen maar dat doet niets af aan het geheel. Integendeel.

Af te raden camping. Kleine plaatsen. De vrouwen in de receptie zeggen waar ge moet staan. Ze hebben geen benul hoe groot een camper is. Slechte ontvangst. Slecht restaurant. De enige douche en wc voor gehandicapten was altijd bezet door mensen met kinderen. Komen hier nooit meer.

Heerlijke camping op een mooi eiland. Camping ligt direct aan fietspaden waarmee je over het hele eiland kunt fietsen. Lekker vlak en goede fietspaden. Goed te fietsen voor kleine kinderen.
