In Loix, the smallest village on the Ile de Ré, island on the west coast of France, you'll find Flower Camping Les Ilates. This lively campsite is located between salt marshes and oyster beds, close to the Atlantic Ocean. Here, campers can take a dip in the large heated swimming pool with paddling pool, where water polo matches are held in high season. The summer months are full of fun anyway, as the entertainment programme is extensive.

Well-maintained campsite with mobile homes

The campsite looks well cared for and tidy. Approximately seventy spacious touring pitches with grassy ground are separated from each other by large hedges. So you always have privacy on your pitch. Most of the pitches on the campsite are reserved for rental accommodations. You can choose from mainly classic mobile homes, but you can also spend the night in glamping tents or in a special Cabane Lodgetent on stilts.

Large heated swimming pool

The beautiful swimming pool is situated in the middle of the campsite. This heated outdoor pool is very spacious. In addition to the large pool is a spacious paddling pool, so even the youngest water enthusiasts will be able to enjoy their water fun. Big advantage: the swimming pool is also open in the evenings. Got hungry from all that swimming? Next to the swimming pool is the restaurant. Take a seat at the pavement café and order a pizza.

Atlantic Ocean and beach

If you like the sea, you'll be fine here. From the campsite, a paved road takes you to the sandy beach at the Pointe du Grouin, one kilometre from the campsite. Because this wide sandy beach on the Atlantic Ocean is quite remote from the rest of the island, it's a lot quieter here than on the other large beaches of Île de Ré.

Liked - Having our own shower/kitchen on the pitch was great,unfortunately where we were was very shaded,Shop could have been bigger and the resturant was very average .
Overall if we didn't need the shop/ resturant it's a great campsite.

Liked - Lovely friendly helpful staff, who chose our pitch with size of our UK caravan in mind.
Great facilities Inc bar and restaurant again with friendly staff.
Disliked - Chemical disposal point could be checked and cleaned a little more frequently, caused by inconsiderate campers, not site.
