Camping on an island is extra special. The French Île de Ré is located in the Atlantic Ocean and is relatively small, but there is plenty to do. The cosy campsite is located on the edge of the village of La Flotte-en-Ré in an idyllic location 900 meters from the Arnérault beach. It is a relaxing destination on the French west coast for families with children of all ages. You are surrounded by forest, the area is a true cycling paradise, and the large swimming pool at Flower Campsite Le Bel Air guarantees hours of water fun.

Under the trees

The touring pitches are usually next to each other in narrow streets on the well-maintained camping site. They are all easily accessible with a caravan. If you want extra space, you can set up your pitch at one of our comfort pitches. There are plenty of places to escape the sun thanks to the many trees. The three sanitary buildings on the campsite are well maintained. For a glamping experience in style, you sleep in a nice log cabin or in wooden lodges on nicely decorated stilts.

The large swimming pool is located at the entrance of the campsite. It is continuously heated to 25 degrees. There is a separate paddling pool, and around the pool are sunbeds and parasols.

Active holiday

Children can participate in fun activities during the summer holidays. Together with the campsite mascots, Mister Flower and Dino, there is a game or excursion on the programme almost every day. There is a welcome get-together for campers every Sunday evening. There are also gym lessons; you can try out an adventurous climbing lesson at the climbing wall.

Liked - Good size pitch with shade. Lovely pool. Bar area also nice. Easy access to forest for dog walking
Disliked - Both toilet blocks need updating. They were clean and adequate but could do with modernisation

Travelling party: Couple

Large site arranged around a rugby pitch / training facility (it’s not as weird as it sounds). Great pool and bar area. Nice clean toilet and shower blocks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Plenty of large pitches some separated by hedges, others not. Good access to La Flotte and the cycle paths of Ile de Ré. La Flotte is lovely, as is the rest of the island. Totally recommended.

Liked - Wonderful campsite close to La Flotte and amazing beaches. Such a quiet site especially where our cabin was positioned. Great to have the supermarket close by with lovely forest and the smell of pine. Pool was lovely and the cafe area sold good basic food and rose wine. Bikes are a must and so easy to hire here. Staff so polite and helpful. We will be back.

Liked - The bar and restaurant was excellant, great food and wonderful friendly people. Great location near to La Flotte and Supermarket.
Disliked - Was disappointed with the lack of entertainment provided especially as it was high season.

Liked - Friendly campsite, close to beautiful La Flotte. Really close to a supermarket and Boulanger. Easy access to the extensive cycle routes around the island.
Disliked - Flower camping with very few flowers! Some pitches with soft sand and under trees.
