The Baie de Somme is without a doubt one of France’s most beautiful inlets. If you stay at Camping Les Trois Sablières (near Le Crotoy), you can walk directly to the huge stretches of sand that are part of the Baie de Somme. This makes it an ideal holiday address for nature lovers – in part because the Parc du Marquenterre nature reserve is located next to the campsite. Highlights of the quiet campsite itself include the heated outdoor swimming pool and the brasserie.

Touring pitches, accommodations and tents for campsite visitors who hike and cycle

This green campsite has accommodations that suit all camping enthusiasts. At Camping Les Trois Sablières you can book a stay in a modern mobile home or a safari tent. There are special accommodations for campsite visitors who hike and cycle. This means comfortable tents with room for bicycle storage for cyclists and bivouac tents for hikers. At Camping Les Trois Sablières you can also stay overnight at a standard pitch. The tourist pitches differ hugely with respect to shape, surface area and amount of shade.

What does the campsite offer in the way of fun?

There is a lovely, heated outdoor swimming pool with a paddling pool at the front of the site. After a couple of hours of swimming, grab a bite to eat at the Brasserie L’Ilette next door. This campsite restaurant is famous for its tasty dishes. Specialities of the house are the grilled dishes, tartare, salads and mussels. During the high season, a food truck also visits regularly. In addition, during the summer holiday, there is entertainment once a week at Camping Les Trois Sablières.

Liked - Horrible campsite, will not be returning.
Small muddy pitches, full of ruts.
Very run down.
Heavy noisy wagons on road outside start at 6.00 am and go on all morning.

Disliked - Needs a complete overhaul,

Liked - A happy discovery to find this site a little way out of Le Crotoy. Not a large site but it has pleasant individual pitches laid out between hedges and bamboo screens. Ample and very well-maintained bloc sanitaire. Very helpful and very friendly staff. The walk along the beach or via the chemin littoral to Le Crotoy was well worth the 60 minutes it took.
Disliked - Some of the pitches may be a tight squeeze for manoeuvring a large motorhome or caravan but we managed OK with a 6.3 metre campervan. There was a good wifi connection around the Acceuil but not across the whole site which would have been better.

Travelling party: Family with children, 12 - 18 years

Liked - We stayed for two nights on our way home. The staff were very welcoming and spoke good English. However. the site is quite rustic and probably in need of some renovation. The facilities were ok and generally clean, but there were no seats and no soap provided in the toilets. This should have been a peaceful rural site, but we had a pitch close to the gate, the road and car park and there was constant noise from vehicles, including loud tractors at 5am. On our last night there was a disco in the bar that was very loud and went on until 11.30pm, which was not really acceptable.
Disliked - - Don't have loud music playing until 11.30pm - this is too late when there are families staying on-site.
- Supply soap in the toilets.
- Don't advertise a "beach" when it's not really a beach.
- Site is difficult to access for motorhomes, this could be improved. E.g. don't park vehicles on the already tight roads.

Liked - The location is excellent, the hosts very helpful. Small restaurant and bar on site very pleasant. Decent sized pool. Pitch had its own shower, toilet and kitchen with fridge and 2 ring stove all very clean and fairly new.
Disliked - Pitch number 005 was too uneven to put awning up. Appears that they have had the ground dug up for the facilities block and not levelled it off once installed. This did not detract from our holiday though.

Liked - Site is small but pretty, staff very friendly and we really enjoyed the pizzas.
Disliked - We booked the premier pitch 005 with the on pitch facilities, shower, toilet and kitchen which were great, but the pitch itself is terrible, very uneven with big potholes and covered in rubble

The facilities were ok and generally clean, but there were no seats and no soap provided in the toilets. This should have been a peaceful rural site, but we had a pitch close to the gate, the road and car park and there was constant noise from vehicles, incudling loud tractors at 5am. On our last night there was a disco in the bar that was very loud and went on until 11.30pm, which was not really acceptable.

The local "beach" is not actually a beach, but mud flats and a nature reserve. This was fine, but if you want a real beach, then I'd suggest looking elsewhere. The local town of Le Cretoy is very pleasant and easily to cycle to.

There are some activities provided in a paddock area, including boules, small football area, table tennis and a small sand volleyball court.

The site was not that suitable for motorhomes as the access is very tight and vehicles were often parked awkwardly. There is a service point, but this is difficult to access due to above.

The mobile reception was also quite poor.

Liked - Lovely site , nice and quiet and very clean .
The staff are lovely and really helpful
The restaurant food is amazing, you have to pre order the night before as the ingredients are sourced locally , which ensures your food is fresh and also helps the local community.
The pool was clean and was cleaned each morning .
Make sure you are aware that the shops are not local and about an hrs walk or 15 min cycle .
There are cycles lanes so it's safe to cycle .

Liked - On arrival, the staff were very welcoming and informative. We were given detailled information pack which included places to go with our dog and vet details. Our pitch was a good size and close to amenities. The pool was well looked after and even warm enough for me who hates cold water. We enjoyed a couple of drinks at the bar one evening which were reasonably priced. Although we did not eat there, the food looked good.
Disliked - None
