Slow Village Loire Vallée is a spacious campsite in the green surroundings of Les Ponts-de-Cé, a village just below Angers. Les Ponts-de-Cé is located on an island in the Loire River. You can easily walk to the village from the campsite. Take a dip in the pool, go canoeing or throw a ball on the bocce court. At the entrance to the campsite is a fine restaurant with a terrace.

Camping with space and shade

The pitches of this campsite are very spacious with a minimum of 105 m2. The very largest spots measure a whopping 400 m2! So they differ quite a bit in size. This creates a playful appearance. There is plenty of shade in many places, especially in the orchard.

Those who come without a tent, trailer tent, caravan or campervan can stay in one of the bivouac tents or bungalow lodges. These have all been given a beautiful place in nature. They were installed in 2019, so they are still relatively new.

There is water fun for the entire family

Just outside the campsite is a large outdoor pool of no less than 3,000 m2! The pool is surrounded by trees. The water slide and the paddling pool provide entertainment for children small and large. Next to the pool, you will find a lovely sunbathing area. Of course, the Loire is also a source of pleasure. Cast out a fishing line or hop in a canoe!

Entertainment on dry land is also available. For example, there is some playground equipment, and you can throw a ball on the bocce courts. The recreation room features slot machines and a television. There is no entertainment programme.

Liked - Location was good for us on the drive back up to Cherbourg. Site was clean. Toilets in need of a deep clean and attention. The sanitary block was old. Broken locks. Very annoying that people kept trying to open door when you are in there. More toilets and showers needed. Washing up facilities good and plentiful. Bar/food area was really lovely, food was really tasty and competitively priced. Pitches were a good size but not very private, no bushes between them so it did feel like you were camping with the person next to you. Pool was lovely but gets very busy.
Disliked - Toilets and showers need modernising. Move table tennis away from food waste bins as it really really smells. Make pitches more private with bushes.

Liked - We came by bike. The tent-pitch had a campers kitchen and a couple of tables with benches and roofs, convenient for having a meal. Campers get free entry to a swimming pool nearby. An evening meal at the restaurant was good.
