Camping Les Portes de l'Anjou is located in the Pays de la Loire, on the banks of the river Loire. This well-maintained campsite has shaded pitches right on the water's edge where you can go fishing. Especially those looking for peace and quiet will find the campsite a suitable destination. The centre of Durtal is closeby, so you can do your shopping on foot.

Camping on the bank

On the campsite, which has beautiful trees and lawns, there is room for around ninety shady touring pitches. Some pitches are situated on the side of the (quiet) road, but the most beautiful spots can be found directly on the bank. A green hedge separates the pitches from the water. In addition to touring pitches, there are twenty-five different rental accommodations available.

Castle within walking distance

There are relatively few facilities on the campsite itself. However, you can get a tasty snack. In the immediate vicinity you'll find more catering establishments. Camping guests also have free access to the municipal swimming pool, at just a few minutes walk. Don't forget to visit Château de Durtal. This imposing castle is located in the middle of Durtal and overlooks the Loire.

For the fishermen

Because of its location, the campsite is ideal for water enthusiasts. You can of course take to the water in a canoe, but if you prefer to stay on dry land, you can also go fishing. There are special fishing spots on the campsite, and you can buy a fishing license. Moreover, you camp here far away from the busy cities and mass tourism, so it's nice and quiet.
