This campsite is located in the village of Rocamadour, in the French department of Lot. Le Relais du Campeur Campsite is the perfect base from which to explore this remarkable pilgrimage site. Visit the castle at the top of the cliffs. This is also where all the shrines and churches can be found. And be sure to take your kids to le Fôret des Singes as well. They will be delighted by the free roaming monkeys.

On the outskirts of Rocamadour

The French department of Lot is home to beautiful forests, dripping caves and ancient buildings. All of these come together in Rocamadour. This village is built against the white cliffs, among deep valleys and large forests. It is your special camping destination this holiday. The campsite is located just outside the centre of Rocamadour. In a quiet place on the edge of civilisation.

Camping under a tree

The campsite has space for one hundred pitches. You can choose a spot on one of the rectangular lawns. There you can sit back and relax in the shade of a tree. So leave your bags unpacked for a while. Your vacation in France has begun!

A dip in the pool

Just what you need after a day of hiking: a dip in the pool. At this campsite you can enjoy this luxury. All you have to do is walk to the edge of the campsite. That is where the rectangular outdoor pool is located. The pool is quite simple. But you don't need more than some nice cool water either.

Liked - The position of the site is brilliant
Disliked - Booked this site online. Because we travelled late in September it was important that the site was open. I looked at the dates to make sure the site was open and booked it. There was a surprise at the small cost and a note about no facilities, but that was for last year 2022. I just assumed this was not removed from last year. Got to site and found there was no toilet and shower facilities. Now the cheap price becomes obvious. Basically on the 25th Sept it became an Aire. Everyone on site were really annoyed.
I didn’t book the Koawa up the road because it was advertised as being closed, not!

Liked - Clean sanitary facilities.
Disliked - The site looked like it was being run down and due for closure. Disappointing.
The swimming pool looked like it had not been used for a decade. It would have been nice to return to a clean pool for a swim after a very hot day walking around Rocamadour.
Nobody available in Reception to speak to.
Fully automated check in procedure. This is ok if it works, unfortunately one couple got stuck at the barrier and held up the movement of our van and another into the site.

Busy but big pitches, so no feeling of being cramped. Excellent toilets and showers. Easy stroll to various restaurants and the breathtaking view.
