Camping Ruisseau du Treil is situated in a charming little valley on the banks of the Treil. You camp here in the middle of the countryside, close to the river Lot. The campsite looks like an English park, with well-kept flower beds and lawns. It is the influence of the warm-hearted British owners. Relax in one of the swimming pools or admire the starry sky. For a day out, drive to Cajarc and Figeac.

A touch of England

The friendly owners have brought a touch of England to the south of France. The natural campsite looks like a spacious English garden. Beautifully tended lawns lie between the tall trees. Flower beds add to the brightness of the place. Everything is well-taken care of. But nature is also given the freedom to bloom abundantly. In the midst of all this nature, you can camp on spacious pitches. Or in one of the modern lodge tents.

Fine spot for a swim

Two swimming pools are situated in a clearing surrounded by trees. They provide an intimate spot for a cool dip. Here you can swim and splash with your children in peace and quiet. After a swim, dry off on a sun lounger.

Two billion star campsite

Camping Ruisseau du Treil is situated far from the hustle and bustle and the urbanised world. In the evening it is very quiet and it is completely dark. Get out of your tent or caravan and look up. Without all those city lights, the starry sky is impressive. Millions of stars can be seen in the sky, shining above the French mountains. Owner Nigel calls his campsite the 'two billion stars campsite'.

Liked - The location is perfect to go hiking and do small car trips in the area, to explore the Lot area with all its riches. The campsite is clean and the plots are spacious. Also it is run by the friendliest people i met during this holiday. Steve and Cheryl you're doing a great job. I loved every minute of my stay and if I will be in the area again I will certainly return.

Liked - Friendly attitude of owners. Organised pizza evenings. Reasonable priced bar. Good facilities on site - i.e. games room, book swop, outdoor sports. Good sized pitches
Disliked - Upgraded electricity supply from 6amps would be nice.

Liked - Beautiful site. So quiet, so much space, lovely natural wild environment. Waking up to a dawn chorus and much birdsong throughout the day!! Our most favourite site ever. The hosts were so helpful and really friendly. The surrounding area in the Lot valley was beautiful and not a lot of traffic. You can catch a bus to Cahors or Figeac if you don’t want to take your car. 10/10.

Beautiful, peaceful campsite in the gorgeous Lot Valley. Friendly owners and family friendly laid back atmosphere. Big pitches and clean facilities. Lots of pretty villages to visit within driving distance and spots to swim in the Lot and Cele.

Hi,We are from Ireland. We stayed here on the 23rd and 24th of May 2023. We would highly recomend staying here. Such a beautiful tranquile campsite and also a lovely area around and so much to do around the area. We would of loved to stay longer but had to get back to Spain to get our boat home.
Both Steve and Cheryl are lovely people and so helpful. We will definitely be back.
Thank you both so much.
Alan and Nico.
