Camping Château de Lacomté is situated at the top of the Parc Naturel et Géoparc Des Causses du Quercy. This nature park in the south of the country is very thickly wooded. There are also large limestone plateaus and wild rivers. To fully enjoy this natural beauty, book a pitch at this child-free, and therefore quiet campsite situated on the grounds of a small castle.

Camping pitch with car?

You have arrived on a well maintained campsite with lots of green. The pitches, just over eighty in total, are beautiful and spacious (minimum 110 m2). Special to this campsite are the so-called 'Freedom Pitches'. These are specially designed for campervan owners, cycle campers or backpackers because you get a small car at your disposal. There are also four special pitches for motor home owners. These are paved and no less than 140 m2 in size.

Water fun!

At this campsite you will find a swimming pool (300 m2) with sun loungers and parasols on the side. The pool is in full sunlight. For even more relaxation, you can book a treatment, such as a massage or manicure, at the beauty centre. There is also a sauna.

Cosy music evenings

In high season, there is entertainment twice a week. All sorts of things are organized. How about quizzes, live music, cocktail evenings and sociable get-togethers? During these evenings, tasty dishes from the barbecue are often served. During the day, you can play sports, including tennis, table tennis and jeu-de-boules. Feeling hungry? Then head to the Château de Lacomté's beautiful restaurant: named Les Étoiles.

"Lovely estate around a beautiful castle. Peace and quiet guaranteed, because this campsite is only aimed at an adult audience. On the spacious, grassy green pitches you'll feel like you're the lord of the castle. Many excursion possibilities in Dordogne, Quercy and Périgord."

Liked - Great welcome, restaurant was excellent. Shower blocks lovely and clean. We were given loads of local info and recommendations for visits and food etc. really nice site.

Liked - Ontwaakte kan je niet beter doen dan op deze prachtige camping. Grote plekken, ruim uit elkaar, geen gejengel van kinderen, heerlijk. Mooi groot zwembad, leuk restaurant en bar. Heel fijne eigenaren. We hebben genoten, ook van de uilen s nachts.
Disliked - Doordat het zo'n groot terrein is, is het dus soms ook ver van het sanitair

Liked - De camping eigenaar was heel vriendelijk en erg behulpzaam. Dit maakte ons verblijf relaxed. Het sanitair was heel schoon. Fijn dat toiletten en douches gescheiden zijn.

Liked - The pool
The car on the freedom pitch which ultimately saved the holiday
Disliked - sadly this was not what I was expecting and not what the website stated. its clearly a campsite which is nearing its end of life other than the pool there was nothing at all to do and although I enjoy peace and quiet there was a deathly silence to the place completely void of any atmosphere or life almost oppressive in its silence No entertainment quiz nights or barbecues on the terrace as per website no choices of regional wines as I would expect at a french campsite no stocked local shop in reception too many Do Not signs everywhere. It needs a complete change of direction to survive.

Liked - Very relaxed, idyllic setting and lovely to be able to swim with a large pool. Toilet and showers always very clean.
Disliked - It would be useful if we could book our pitch number as I have a leg disability and need to near toilet block, rather than hope there is.one free.

Liked - One of our most favorite campsites anywhere, it feels like coming home every time we arrive. The owners are fabulous and nothing is too much trouble. facilties are super clean and the swimming pool and tennis court are amazing. Restaurant food is also incredible so 5* is probably not enough. Lots to do and see around so a great base as well

Liked - Lovely site for camping and caravanning. Very spacious and picturesque private plots.Amazing pool area and terrace. Excellent meals, pizza and bar. Abundance of bird life and such a lovely area for exploring. Above all, Stuart and Sheila are brilliant host and made our stay so enjoyable and always there to help. An unforgettable holiday, thank you so much
