Camping Le Camp de Florence is located on the outskirts of the pretty village of La Romieu. A very well-maintained campsite with Dutch owners. Around an authentic farmhouse, between sunflower fields, you’ll find a green campsite with touring pitches overlooking the hills of Gascony. With a swimming pool, children's club and alpacas in the animal pasture, there's a lot to do for children. There is also a good restaurant with an intimate terrace.

View over vines and sunflowers

Full-grown trees, sunflowers and climbing plants give character to the well-kept campsite Le Camp de Florence. The most beautiful pitches offer a vast view over the hills of Gascony, filled with vines and sunflower fields. Other touring pitches overlook the church of La Romieu. For pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostella there is a separate field with tent pitches.

Tropical swimming pool with view

The campsite's outdoor swimming pool slopes gradually, making it safe for children. There is also a large shallow area with a nice slide and sprinklers. A lifeguard offers extra safety during the summer months. But also for the bigger swimmers the tropical swimming pool is nice. One part is deep enough to swim in, while you can also sit in the whirlpool.

Cuddling alpacas

Alpacas: the increasingly popular cuddly animals. You can also meet these fluffy friends at the campsite. Alpacas are especially fascinating for children. Younger campers can also indulge themselves on one of the large sports fields. The Lenny Club is also fun. In this kids club the little ones can do arts and crafts, play games or look for treasures every day in July and August.

Liked - Our stay at Camping Florence was fabulous. The facilities are excellent, the staff are all so very friendly. It is peaceful and on the edge of a gorgeous ‘plus beau village’

Liked - Fantastic site booked for 2 nights stayed for 5.. Thanks too all the staff you were all amazing in the bar and the restaurant. The food is really good,if you are there Wednesday book the restaurant for the moules meal it gets packed locals aswell as fellow campers.

Toilet's were always spotless clean plenty of hot water and loo roll

Liked - This site is an absolute treasure. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful but with plenty going on if you want it. The layout of the site means that all pitches seem very private.
The site is very natural with lots of trees, bushes etc, not landscaped..
Bar and restaurant are fantastic and reasonable and in a bea. Pool area is well kept and perfect for a cool off. Little animal pen was fun and animals seem well looked There are loads of things for kids to do.
The little town is absolutely beautiful, full of history and every view a photo opportunity. Everything reasonably priced on site and town.
Disliked - Small shop with essentials on site as town shop is very limited.
Some clarity around toilet and shower closures for cleaning as these were often closed at around 8.30 -9 .00 on a night .
Sometimes the nighttime entertainment goes on until very late and the sound travels.

Restaurant; food was of good selection and well cooked with very good service
Disliked - Access through the park with a 2.5m wide x 8m long caravan was awkward at times

Liked - It’s been 9 years since we were last here and the place is every bit as good if not better than that visit. The whole team are excellent with such friendly service throughout. The restaurant is just too good to not eat at! We did many times! The pool area is delightful and the whole site is spotlessly clean and tidy. We had a very nice pitch that was well located.

Liked - Loved the staff so friendly and helpful. Swimming pool was good. Everything you need. Clean toilets etc. Great little walk into the village. Definitely recommend it. Food was good in the restaurant and staff spoke English
Disliked - Only thing I would say is soap dispenser in toilets. Remembering to take soap each time was a pain. Otherwise nothing

Liked - Lodge clean and comfortable, Campsite, Bar, Swimming Pool, Bar & Catering Staff helpful & friendly
Disliked - pre ordered baguettes should be able to be collected simply without waiting for other bar traffic etc..
Had to buy own mugs/cups as ones in lodge too small. English like their tea!
Mosquito screen on bedroom (& bathroom) windows, to allow ventilation in Bedroom (too wasteful leaving Aircon on.)

Liked - We very much enjoyed our stay. The site has a very nice atmosphere, set in a quiet and beautiful location. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The restaurant and pool are also very good.
