Camping Le Caussanel is situated directly on the shores of Lac de Pareloup, in the Aveyron region. At this family campsite, children will have a great time: in the swimming pool with its large slides, on one of the sports fields or in the playground by the lake. The open campsite is stretched out along the Lac de Pareloup.

View over the lake

The campsite Le Caussanel has a very open character. The lake also contributes to this: from your pitch you have a panoramic view over the vast water. Some pitches are right on the water's edge, others are a little further away. But all have a view of the lake.

Swimming in the sun

Behind the central stone buildings lies the swimming complex. It has a large paddling pool, large slides and a pool for swimming laps. Around the pools you will find several sun loungers. The lake is also a great place to sunbathe. When the water is low, you can lie on a sandy beach. When the tide is higher, you can use the large lawn. The water gets deeper gradually, which is ideal for small children.

Sports and games

As soon as you enter the campsite, you can see them: the sports fields. Ideal for an hour of sweating on the tennis court, the multi-sports field (for a game of football or basketball) or the beach volleyball court. The entertainment team also organises competitions and games for the little sports fans. For a bit of action, the children can also go to the playground. The climbing castle and some other playground equipment are located on the large lawn directly at the lake.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - We weren’t happy with the pitch we were given so we asked to be moved. They put us on another pitch but then had to move again as that was booked. This was dealt with very well and we were very happy with the pitch we actually stayed on. Very friendly helpful British lady staff helped us.

Liked - Great activities for the kids, relaxing atmosphere. Friendly staff and free wine on my Birthday!

Restaurant served delicious food with very friendly and accommodating staff-especially Clare
Peaceful with spectacular views

Disliked - The shop could stock a few more goods-especially for those in motorhomes who have no other mode of transport to go to purchase anything

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Liked - I booked this site last minute as we were travelling from Paris down south chasing the sun. I had booked a service pitch, The location was brill for access to the pool and lake. The only fault I could point out is the electricity. When a kettle was boiled it would trip the electric so had to reset it many times during a boil. The site is large with many things to do. The staff were good but Clare set the bar for the rest she was very pleasant and helped out where she could and coached my French skills I would give her 10/10.
Disliked - With having small children the animation team went around the site with a loud hailer announcing kids club etc. This would be helpful if you speak fluent French as it was not announced in any other language. I'm sure the Dutch would agree as this is some think they mentioned.
