Here you camp in the green heart of Ariège. The unspoiled site is equipped with a small pool and offers a beautiful spot in the heart of nature.

Between the city of Carcassonne and the Spanish border, Le Roc del Rey is a campsite where you can enjoy the simple pleasures of the outdoors. The campsite is a friendly terraced site and is recommended for those looking for peace and quiet and who enjoy walking. The neat swimming pool has a modest size and looks out over the hills. In addition, the cordial owner regularly bakes fresh pizzas for his guests.

Camping in Cathar country

The French region of Ariège in the Midi-Pyrenees is known for its hilly landscape, the space and the peace and quiet. Near the small village of Belloc, Camping Le Roc del Rey is situated in a rural location with Mirepoix as the nearest place for shopping. The friendly atmosphere appeals to nature lovers who value good basic facilities. To get to the terraced campsite, the last few kilometres wind along smaller roads through a wooded area.

Under the trees

The gently sloping terrain is ideal for campers who want to enjoy the beautiful green surroundings at the foot of the Pyrenees. There are a small number of pitches at the front of the campsite for motorhomes and caravans. For tent campers, there are more possibilities under the trees on a hill. The sanitary facilities are not very modern, but they are tidy. Campers without their own camping equipment are also welcome in the cabins, mobile homes, the safari tent, the gypsy wagon or in a trendy coco sweet tent.

Liked - Camping pequeño y muy tranquilo. Perfecto para descansar. El propietario muy amable y simpático.
Disliked - No había papel higiénico en el baño.

Liked - The wonderfully placed location of the campsite, in the midst of oak trees, with the calming sound of nature around and magnificent views of the surroundings. Delphine and Roman were welcoming from the get-go, always available and friendly. Don't allow the pizza to confuse you: you're not in Napoli, though it does taste like it! Resonable pricing. Very laid back, well run campsite.
Disliked - A few more hooks and some more shelves to store belongings inside the (always clean and well maintained) lavabos and shower cabins would be great.

Travelling party: Family with children <4 years

Liked - We stayed in the jungle lodge safari tent and had a wonderful experience. The location was beautiful, and the reception from Delfine was very welcoming. We stayed with our 1 year old baby, the tent was perfect, had plenty of space for him to play safely. The floor of the tent is flat, made of wood, and the side panels of the tent served very well to limit our baby’s play area. We also used the patio furniture to block off any area we didn’t want our baby to go. They have pack and play baby bed and they also have a baby bathtub, changing table, and high chair. Very clean. We will return!

Liked - What a beautiful campsite. The vintage caravan was very charming and came with everything we needed. The campsite owner Romain was fantastic - so friendly and he really went out of his way to help us with whatever we needed. His english is excellent too. The swimming pool is great and you can get fresh coffee, pizza and lots more from reception.
