The five star Le Ranch campsite located on the west coast of the Cotentin (Normandy) is beautifully situated by the sea. From the campsite, you can walk straight to the beach! The spacious and sunny pitches are located in the dunes and are separated by low bushes and posts. The sanitary facilities are modern and well-equipped.

Something for everyone

There are two heated swimming pools: one is covered by a retractable, roof and the other has a large slide on which several people can slide down at once. Smaller campers are sure to enjoy the playground, trampolines, and bouncy castles. You can also play a free game of miniature golf with your whole family. Feeling peckish? On the campsite, you will find Le Ranch restaurant, which is decorated in a Western style with wooden elements.

Water sports

The wide sandy beach in front of the door invites you to take endless walks. If you are looking for more adventure, you can also go windsurfing or water skiing. The (public) beach near the Le Ranch campsite is quite popular with surfers because of the high waves. You can also go to sea in a kayak. In Les Pieux, you will find larger supermarkets.

Discover Cotentin on foot

There are numerous hiking trails in the vicinity of the campsite. From the campsite, you can walk a part of the GR223 ‘Sentier des Douaniers’. The trail runs along the coast through a mountainous area and can have some steep climbs at times. But the beautiful nature and views are worth it.

Ein mega toller Platz, super Strand - wer Natur liebt wird den Platz lieben. Riesige Stellplätze mit eigenen Wasser Anschluss und jeder Platz hat eine Holz Gartenbank auf dem Platz. Wir waren echt begeistert. So liebes Personal, sehr Hilfsbereit. Die Hunde konnten am Strand super laufen.

Für Dickschiffe und Doppelachser ungeeignet wegen Sandboden, enger Zufahrten und schlechter Wendemöglichkeiten. Ausgenommen hiervon sind natürlich „Experten“, die diese Erschwernisse ignorieren und im Vorfeld für den Tag der An-u.-Abfahrt weitere Stellplätze buchen über die sie dann mit „schwerem Gerät“ walzen. Das ist nicht meine Idee von Camping.

Der Kontakt im Vorfeld, gerade wegen Corona, war sehr gut. Daher konnten wir sehr kurzfristig entscheiden, ob wir das gebuchte Mobilheim belegen oder nicht. Der Campingplatz ist sehr ordentlich und schön angelegt. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist, dass wegen des Saisonbeginns noch nicht alle Leistungen verfügbar waren, bzw. noch nicht alles auf dem Platz aktiv oder repariert. Daher der kleine Punktabzug beim Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Alles in Allem sind wir sehr zufrieden mit den Mobilheimen. Es war sehr schön und wir kommen gerne wieder.
