We booked this site as we were impressed with the recent reviews. Whilst we would agree that the site is well placed for the town and that the owner was friendly and welcoming, we were disappointed with the sanitaries. They were generally a bit grubby and not cleaned. Some of the showers and toilets were locked out meaning only 2 toilets available in both the men’s and ladies’ loos which is not great especially first thing in the morning!

We used the site as a one night stopover before the afternoon ferry from Caen. The Office is open from 3pm to 7 but arrivals before then can pick their pitch and come back to reception and pay when its open. The toilets are modern and kept clean and there is a nice games room.but the highpoint of this site is the fabulous view of the castle towering over the site. The town is easily walkable and has lots of restaurants etc with a huge out of town hypermarket for shopping..
Pitches are decent sized but the majority or on a slope which was fine for my 14 ft caravan but would give a longer van problems without chocks. Access to the pitches is over a kerb which needs careful driving. Flatter fitches are in the lower area of the site. There are disabled toilets and good surfaces for use a wheelchair although the whole site is built on a slope.

very nice site, clean, tidy, beautifully maintained. Really good views of castle and very easy access to pleasant town. with nice small shops... Difficult to comment fully on child access and sports facilities as they don\'t apply to us!

Excellent campsite, very clean modern facilities,short walk to some very decent shops albeit up hill , but worthwhile..

A friendly site with new facilities. Great views of the famous castle (well worth a visit) from the site and an easy walk into the town. Also convenient for visits to the Normandy beaches and some car ferries.

An ideal stopover from the ferry, easy access from the peage. New toilet block, helpful gardien. Wonderful view of the chateau, easy (hilly) walk up into the town with plenty of facilities there (eating etc). Excellent motorhome area, otherwise 50% of the pitches are sloping, there are standard kerb stones on the flat ones which the motormover didnt like (easily overcome using levelling block!). We will use this site again.

Very. pleasant stay at this very well kept site. We walked into town and up to the castle, pleasant walk. The castle was enjoyable and informative, the views were fantastic. Would recommend this site and would use it again.

Beautiful location, very well kept site. The pitch we had was a spacious hard standing for 7.5 Motorhome. Short walk into the village up a steep hill. Staff very friendly

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay on this excellent campsite.I had a unfortunate issue with my health.the staff where fantastic ,they could not do enough for me.I appreciated what they did for me and my wife thank you we will be back .

Un agréable camping avec un bon choix d\'emplacements avec vue superbe sur le château. Nous avons bien aimé notre séjour. Bloc sanitaire cinq étoiles. Le gérant est compétent, disponible, et chaleureux. Le vidange des eaux grises pour les camping-cars est bien située avec accès facile. Un bon choix de balades autour du camping.
