Just a stone's throw away from the German border, in the vast forests of the northern Vosges, Camping du Muhlenbach offers a wide range of accommodation options (tepees, Gypsy wagons). The campsite is located a few kilometres from the Citadelle de Bitche, a fortress the oldest parts of which date back to the Middle Ages. It is, therefore, an excellent base for excursions in the surrounding region by car, bicycle or on foot.

Peace
Above all, Camping du Muhlenbach radiates tranquillity. It won't come as a surprise, therefore, that the majority of the guests visit this campsite to enjoy the peace and quiet amidst the breathtaking nature in this French-German border region. The pitches are beautiful and large and offer an attractive view of the surroundings and the lake. You can swim and go fishing in this lake. As a river empties into the lake on one side and discharges into another lake on the other side, the water moves continuously. As a result, there are no mosquitoes and the water is always clean and cool, safe for swimming.
Angling
There is ample fish in the lake, including carp, trout and pike. However, you do need a fishing license (obtainable from the reception). There are also very strict regulations governing the ways of fishing. The receptionist will gladly give you information about this. You can prepare your catch in the grill area in the evening.
Catering facilities/shop
You do not have to leave the campsite for groceries as there is a small, well-stocked shop. Or you can eat in the restaurant, while you enjoy the lovely view over the lake.
