This modest, attractive campsite is situated in a non-touristy, green and hilly area in the town of Liverdun, north-west of the interesting city of Nancy. The site of Camping de la Moselle is beautifully situated on a loop of the Moselle, next to a sports and recreational field. You have a lovely view of the castle of the medieval Liverdun.

Hearty reception

This is a former municipal campsite, extensively renovated by the Quinot family and lovingly managed by them. You will notice straight away that the owners have implemented several original ideas, for instance a lowered desk for disabled persons. The campsite makes a well maintained impression.

Where is your pitch?

The 192 touring pitches are fairly spacious (70-140 m2), non-demarcated and have a grass surface. The paths running alongside are not hardened with gravel, but are made of loamy sand. The trees offer a fair degree of shade. The grounds have been partly raised. There are separate pitches for the disabled and there are four rental accommodation units.

Activities galore

There is a small, oval-shaped, sunny swimming pool (water at chest height) on the campsite, safely fenced-off. Cyclists and mountain bikers are pampered here with special facilities (bike rental and a breakdown service point). Walkers and other nature lovers will also spend a wonderful holiday here. There is playground equipment for the little ones and nearby sports facilities.

Making dinner or going out?

When you want to do your own cooking, you can get your supplies in the small campsite shop. Expect a limited range. However, fresh bread is available on a daily basis. There is a small restaurant, with breakfast service, a bar and a cosy terrace.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Really peaceful site. We were there in September though so I’m not sure if main holiday weeks it would have more families. Has a good pool and other facilities. Restaurant was closed as was a Wednesday but we ordered some bread and croissants which gets delivered every morning. Opposite the Moselle and walkable to town
Disliked - Would be lovely if restaurant was open as only pizzeria and kebab restaurants in town.

Liked - Very nice site, pitches very good, toilets clean, and pool good for children.

Having stayed at the site as a stopover we will in the future return for a longer stay.
Disliked - Better directions to the site.

Liked - Loos clean and one even had a toilet seat. Bar good with cold beer that’s always a bonus. Older staff really nice and very friendly
Disliked - Shop is definitely missing a trick - nothing but water wine and chocolate- they could stock way more like bread and a chiller for meat and cheeses etc

Cafe didn’t do any food. “Kitchen closed no cook”. Can’t be that hard to do a few burgers and chips etc.

Liked - Proximity to train station, next to lovely river and bike paths, fishing, swimming pool
Disliked - Table tennis table broken and abandoned at entrance, just felt a bit shabby, pitches too erratic and close together, no consistent hot water for washing up, just all felt a bit tired and needing a good refresh

Liked - Voor de tweede keer op de camping, maar nu viel het helaas erg tegen. Het sanitair was erg vies. En het restaurant was niet open, ook niet de crêpe kraam. Wat wel vermeld staat op website. Dat viel even tegen. We zijn er maar 1 nacht gebleven en dat was prima.

Liked - Friendly site with a good atmosphere and great setting by the river
Disliked - Poor drainage on site but this was following heavy rain. Insufficient water flow from sink taps on occasion. Not enough facilities e.g., waste water disposal.

Liked - Mooie camping met ruime plekken onder bomen die je zelf mag uitkiezen. Alle faciliteiten aanwezig. Kinderen hebben zich ook vermaakt. Goede sfeer! We komen nog een keer terug.
