Campsite Al Comu is situated on a cork tree-covered hillside in the Pyrénées-Orientales department, just outside the lovely Catalonian village of Llauro. The campsite is situated in a very peaceful area with few tourists. The coast, however, is nearby, where you will find beautiful beaches such as the one at Argelès-Plage. In this mountainous coastal area, you will also find many places where you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views both along the coast and further inland.

View of the mountain landscape
You reach the pitches via a partly paved road which makes a loop over the campsite grounds. The camping pitches are reasonably clearly marked and are situated on a paved surface. Some pitches have plenty of shade, others have more sunshine. The most beautiful pitches are located along the eastern edge of the campsite. They offer the most privacy and the best views of Thuir and Perpignan.
Basic amenities
The amenities on the campsite are very basic. The sanitary facilities, for example, are not very modern but they are clean. People wishing to dine out can do so in Llauro. Here, you will find a fine restaurant that serves local wines and cooks for the campsite guests every week. Would you prefer a little more variety? Then you can drive to Thuir or Céret. You can also do all your grocery shopping there.
Flashlight
In the low season, there are many Dutch campers on the campsite. The campsite is very quiet in the preseason. Make sure you have a good flashlight because there is no lighting on the campsite at night. The darkness ensures that you will enjoy a wonderful night's sleep, though.
