Twenty kilometres from the Mediterranean coast, in the French department of Hérault, lies the well-shaded campsite Le Rebau. You'll find the campsite on the outskirts of the village of Montblanc, hidden behind a hedge of trees. The green camping area is surrounded by vineyards. Le Rebau is especially suitable as a transit campsite for campers on their way to or from Spain.

Shaded touring pitches

A little shade always comes in handy in the south of France. That's why it's great that mature trees provide full shade cover to the camping area of Le Rebau campsite. The many trees and bushes are sufficiently pruned, but larger motorhomes and caravans should have a good driver. Once you reach your pitch, you have plenty of space under fantastic trees.

The Pool and the Mediterranean

It's a pretty picture: the outdoor pool, at the front of the property, which is surrounded by trees and vibrant oleanders. Please note that the pool is only open from July through mid-September. Fortunately, you can take a dip in the Mediterranean all year round. If you are camping at Le Rebau you are only twenty kilometres from the beach of Vias Plage.

Renewed sanitary facilities

The sanitary facilities have been partially or completely renewed in several blocks. Some showers have an adjustable shower dial to choose the heat of the water yourself. Showers are free and open throughout the campsite's opening period.

Snacks are available at the snack bar. Groceries can be purchased at a larger supermarket six kilometres away.

Travelling party: Couple

Oude troep, vies sanitair, slechte schoonmaak. We waren met caravan en kwamen bijna niet de camping op heel smal teveel bomen die overhangen. Eens maar nooit meer!!

Travelling party: Family with children, 4 – 12 years

Camping echt veel te smal. Wij moesten door mega smalle paadjes om vervolgens weer terug te moeten naar het naastliggende terrein, dat was beter voor 1 nacht gaf de mevrouw aan. Pin is niet aanwezig. Fijn als dit soort zaken vooraf gemeld worden. Onze caravan en auto zijn beiden beschadigd door de takken van de smalle paden. Wc geen toiletpapier. Zwembad we ideaal voor de kids. Eens maar nooit meer voor ons. De draai naar buiten is ook niet te doen.

Wij hebben 1 nacht verbleven, de “receptioniste” was spaarzaam met geven van informatie. Waar is het sanitair, waar kun je je afval kwijt, etc. ? Wij konden achterin de camping een plekje nemen. Wat bleek, naast gasten van de overigens mooi uitziende stacaravans, waren wij de enige kampeerders. Moeizaam, door de smalle toegang met veel struiken en bomen, konden wij met onze camper een plekje vinden zonder laaghangende takken. Deze camping gaat bij ons op de negatieve lijst.

Camping aan de rand van het plaatsje Montblanc. Veel schaduw door bomen. Grote plaatsen wel goed oppassen dat takken je camper of caravan niet beschadigen. Sanitair zeer schoon. Slechts 3 douches en dat is te weinig als de camping vol staat. Wel voldoende toiletten. Elektra is nog ouderwets met franse stekker. Winkeltjes in het dorp op loopafstand.

Heerlijke, relaxte camping. Fijne, ruime plaatsen met veel schaduw. Bijna altijd heerlijk weer. En de avonden, nog tot laat in korte broeken en jurkjes buiten kunnen zitten, wijntje van de locals erbij! Wat wil een mens nog meer?

De toegang is veel te smal, moest de spiegels aan beide zeiden inklappen. eenmaal door de tunnel is er geen plaats om de camper te stallen als je je aan moet melden. De wegen op het terrein veel te smal, manoeuvreren bijna onmogelijk, wordt een ramp bij calamiteiten.
