Campsite La Sousta can be found between Avignon and Nîmes, within walking distance of the famous Pont du Gard. This four-star campsite near Remoulins is laid out in the forest on the banks of the Gardon River. The many facilities at this family campsite guarantee a comfortable and exciting holiday for the whole family.

Nature and fun

The large camping area of campsite La Sousta extends over twelve acres, and consists mainly of spacious touring pitches. There are two hundred and sixty pitches for touring campers. They are nicely distributed throughout the forest or along the river, and are playfully laid out on the natural terrain. No straight rows of caravans at this campsite. Most sites enjoy wonderful shade.

New water playground

The campsite has a simple outdoor pool at its centre. You can swim there from early May to late October, but it is not heated. The pool enjoys full sunlight, and is surrounded by a beautifully tiled sundeck. In addition, there is a large paddling pool and a fun new water playground with all kinds of water sprayers for the little ones.

Paddle and play

The Gardon River flows directly past the campsite. The beautiful pebble beach is only accessible to campsite guests. Small children can paddle and play there, but canoeing in the water is also fun Sports enthusiasts can swim all the way to the Pont du Gard! There also some fine fishing spots along the river. Nature lovers are in for a treat here. Not only are there herons, kingfishers and bee-eaters, but you might just run into a beaver.

Travelling party: Couple

We stayed here for 6 nights in May, the location is fabulous being a short walk from The Pont du Gard. The wash blocks are a little dated but were very clean every time we used them. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Pitches are of varying sizes and shapes, with the borders between them blurred, but we found it to be no problem.
Whilst in the area we visited both Nimes & Avignon which were wonderful.
On the whole a very good site and we would return if ever in the area again.

Travelling party: Seniors

We love this site, its big but at the time of year we stayed the whole site is not open. Lots of pitching areas in small groups or bigger areas under trees. Right on the river of the Pont du Gard. We would recommend this site and would use it again.

Friendly staff in restaurant . Approx 20 minute walk into villlage of remoges
