Between two riverbeds of the river Gardon, sheltered by the mountains of the Cevennes, you’ll find family campsite Cévennes-Provence. The spacious touring pitches are close to the river or in the hills, from where you have a beautiful view. At the child-friendly campsite, children can have fun in the playground or on the river, which, with its rock formations and wooded banks, has different characters.

Spacious campsite with microclimate

Due to its sheltered location between the hills, the campsite has a microclimate. This means you can camp amidst over 140 species of trees and plants. The campsite, hilly in character, is very spacious. Both on the open terrain at the river and in the wooded hills are spacious touring pitches. From the higher situated pitches you have a beautiful panoramic view. In addition to the almost 230 touring pitches, there are 16 rental accommodations. These chalets are freely situated on the hilltop and offer that same beautiful view.

Family campsite for nature lovers

The campsite is very child friendly. A large part of the camping public therefore consists of families with children. Young children can play in the large playground. In summer, pottery workshops, pony rides and archery courses are organised. These are also fun for adults.

Homemade desserts and fresh produce

The restaurant is at the front of the campsite. Here Isabelle is in charge of the kitchen. In addition to salads, she also prepares grills, desserts and ice creams. In the small supermarket she sells fresh products from the region: jams, honey, wines and olive oil. Next to the restaurant is a large covered pavement café and a beautiful outdoor sidewalk café where you can sit quietly in the shade of the tall trees.

Not easy to reach with oncoming traffic. In the shade of trees very close to nature, embedded in wonderful surroundings. Friendly and helpful staff. Mostly modern and clean sanitary facilities. Shop and restaurant with local products are always worth a visit. We stayed for three weeks at this exceptional campsite, one of our long-time favourites. Unfortunately, this time it was occasionally restless due to frequently changing campers. Therefore separate pitches for larger motorhomes and those staying only for a short time would be a real advantage.
