Camping Vauban Onlycamp is right next to the beautiful fortified town of Neuf-Brisach in Haut-Rhin (France). This campsite is in natural, level area that is very popular with cyclists. From the campsite, you can take lovely bike rides to the beautiful city of Colmar. The campsite is close to the German border. A visit to the city of Freiburg or Europa-Park theme park is easily done from the campsite. This small-scale campsite has been subtly integrated into the surrounding countryside. The campsite is mainly popular among Dutch and German tourists, especially those seeking a quiet holiday destination from where you can go on lovely cycle rides.

A site beautifully incorporated into the countryside

This campsite is ideal for those who love the authentic camping life. Tourist pitches are clearly in the majority here. Above all, you camp in a natural setting. The spacious pitches on this neatly maintained site have been beautifully incorporated into the countryside. Besides touring pitches, Camping Vauban also has some lodge tents and chalets for hire, like the special bivouac tents for cycling campers.

Snack bar and fresh bread rolls at the campsite

When you stay at this campsite, you can do you grocery shopping in one of the large supermarkets in Volgelsheim. It's only a kilometre to walk or drive there. The campsite itself has a small shop and you can get salads, pizzas, pastries and delicious drinks from the snack bar. You can order fresh bread rolls croissants from reception for the following morning.

Travelling party: Young couple

Liked - Private pitch within nature. Location near the citadel. This site is value for money when using ACSI Card, however, it becomes very expensive and not worth it if paying normal rates.
Disliked - Please make the water hot in the showers.

Please fill in the potholes on the road which become giant puddles when it rains.

Travelling party: Seniors

Liked - The pitch and location (<15min into the village) were excellent, all the reception staff were very helpful. Many couples with younger Pre-school & senior couples gave a good daytime vibe. Amenities adjoining reception (daily bread service offered) were very clean and stocked with soap & paper. New larger sanitary block hand plenty of sinks & showers but only 2 WC for each gender. Motorhome Service point well placed, at second block with Chem. Waste point in block.
Disliked - Second older sanitary block had no sinks for hand washing (under repair) all ladies (3) toilet paper not checked or refilled. Barrier was not working, so vehicles come and go at all hours. Ground staff drove around on quad bikes way too fast on the gravel track.
There was a split group of 5 large caravans, pickups & "Servis" logo'd vehicles on long term pitches. On 2 occasions they played loud bass Trance club music Nt2 (00:00 to 0200) singing loudly. We complained to reception the following day. Nt3, Men returned from night out 23:00 loud "Country & Western" with load singing until 00:00
