Camping L'Etang des Forges is located on the lake of the same name, north of the town centre of Belfort. Although you camp close to the town, not far from busy roads, it's nice and green and relatively quiet. You can reach the campsite by taking the D13 from the centre of Belfort in a northerly direction. The campsite is on the edge of a residential area. The entrance to the campsite is lined with trees and ends at a small roundabout. The reception is a beautiful, modern, semicircular building.
Beautifully maintained campsite
The 110 touring pitches and around twenty rental bungalows are located on separate, well-tended lawns. The other side of the campsite is enclosed by tall trees and shrubs. The heated swimming pool is located at the front of the site, near the reception building. The sanitary facilities are kept perfectly clean throughout the day.
Belfort
The centre of Belfort is easily reached on foot or by bike. Especially the fortress, on top of a hill, is a place of interest. Near the fortress you will also find the statue of the Lion of Belfort. It was made by Frédéric Bartholdi, the sculptor who also made the Statue of Liberty.
