Camping Le Tournefeuille is beautifully situated on the banks of the Sauldre river, on the outskirts of the town of Romorantin-Lanthenay. This is the capital of Sologne, a thickly wooded region in the Loir-et-Cher department. From the campsite you can go on lovely walks and cycling trips. The Loire river, well known for its many castles, flows in the vicinity of the campsite.

Sunny or in the shade
The camping pitches are distributed over a large, green field. They have a flat surface and are demarcated with a few low bushes. Some of the pitches are located near the river and offer a bit more shade. The remainder is located in direct sunlight. Both in peak and low season, the campsite attracts visitors from near and far who like walking and cycling.
Excellent sanitary facilities
The sanitary facilities are fairly new, very well maintained and are kept very clean. There are special facilities for disabled persons. There are six attractive rental chalets on a separate section of the campsite.
Covered swimming pool
You can splash round in the river, but to swim a few lengths you have to use the covered swimming pool of the campsite. There is a small, but colourful playground for children. You can also rent bicycles on the campsite. You can play a game of tennis on the tennis court of the adjacent sports complex via the campsite.
Welcoming restaurant
The small, friendly restaurant of the campsite is a good choice for a simple meal. There is no shop, but in July and August you can get fresh bread each day. All other shopping can be done in town.
